I’m not sure how I’m going to sleep tonight knowing I was owned so much.
As a lib, I feel so owned after seeing this video.
So expensive for what is, let’s face it, a mini-van.
Supply and demand, baby. Same price structure on cruise ships and movie theaters. And in defense of the gas station, a little pre-planning with fueling up before driving into the desert and traveling with plenty of water is simple common sense.
Tying it to income doesn’t work. Billionaires “make” less income than most people from all the ways to avoid declaring their income as personal income through trusts, companies expenditures, and etc.
I’m not one of those eat the rich types but reading stuff like this where something so egregious occurs makes me reconsider my position. In a sense, it’s wealthy folks literally shitting on the public. Eww.
It said she missed the flight, so it sounds like it was a problem she created from the start by being late an expecting an entire plane to wait for her spoiled ass.
I know it’s not a word we use often State side, but what a cunt.
My Panamera does. 26 gallon tank. In my normal driving, I average around 22mpg. That’s getting close to 600 miles. If I’m not going to work that week, and I’m doing all city street driving, it drops down to 18-19mpg, but even then, that’s only a hair under 500.
Even 250 miles will get you to the outer bands of a hurricane, which isn’t nearly as bad as the epicenter. And if you heed warnings and forecast, you can easily be out of the area before it hits anyway.
Depreciation: then go buy a slightly used EV that has already been hit with the depreciation hammer. That’s what I did and with the $4k tax credit it was a fantastic deal!
I agree, I was meaning excluding all the other crap. I found a website that works out all the timing of average security wait times, whether the flight is usually on time, getting through the airport on the other end etc.. Really useful. You can factor in your costs or ticket x time vs. driving time x cost of fuel…
Add motion sickness and the constant fear of crashing into this and you’ve covered literally all of the main reasons I hate flying. I drive almost everywhere and fly only when I have no choice. If I could drive to Europe, I would.
If an electric vehicle has a problem it averages 25,000 gallons of water to extinguish a fire. Large capacity battery vehicles likely require much more. Difficult to obtain that much water on an Offroad trail.
Is there a such thing as a “two-hour” flight? When you factor in getting to the airport and all of the hubbaballu you mentioned above, a flight that’s in the air for two hours takes more like 6-8 hours from end-to-end on a good day.
All of this.
It’s not as bad as Ed’s awful green loafers. I can’t un-see them.
Not even getting screwed at all as far as I see it. This wasn’t happening bc of one single parking ticket, but multiple tickets that were being ignored. Actions have consequences.
“See, when the vehicles get towed, the city screws owners twice: Not only are they responsible for paying the total amount of parking fees they owe, they also have to pay for daily storage fees.”
