Oh oh, and judging other people’s speed. It happens every time I drive short or long distance. Someone will move across a lane ignoring how quickly I’m approaching them, or will pull out of a side road at 14 mph and not notice me doing 50 in a 50 coming at them.

I was at a car show a while back and someone was making comments about a bespoke Lambo interior that was similar, and the owner goes “well, it matches my yacht interior” and everyone shuffled away in poor.

In my experience it’s always some old dude in a clean F-150 just chugging along in the left lane. Totally oblivious. I do the 395 a lot and it’s endemic.

As a Euro human, I cannot believe what you can get away in the US. The lack of signals, lane discipline, general awareness of basic laws or surroundings coupled with no speed cameras or average speed zones means you reap what you sow. When this says “some states” - it should read “California and some other states”. I used to live 10 miles from a huge refinery and somehow fuel was twice as expensive as my friend’s house that was 900 miles further away.

I’ve no doubt there’s a shit ton of things that could be cut from the budget. But cutting ATCs would be on the last page of my list.

Having worked with the Innocence Project in the past - you can question nearly all forensic ‘science’. Either the science done i.e. how the evidence was collected, stored, moved. Or that the science is even a fact.
