2035 is not 10 years away. 2035 is also when NEW - repeat NEW - gas cars will stop being sold. There’s nothing stopping you buying a gas car in 2034 and running it for 10 years if you chose to do that. What fuel prices will be in 2034 might make it a poor decision. But nobody really knows.
