Yeah, there was a desperation there that almost seemed overkill in the moment, but after the Michael reveal at the end it made way more sense in retrospect.

Oh man. That’s a great interpretation. And heartbreaking.

I don’t think he was avoiding talking to her using sex—or, at least, not totally. He believes he is making love with Jane for the last time.

While I agree the goal here is vastly increased diversity and that the huge importance of representation is something to be devoutly wished for, what this likely means as far as Hollywoo is concerned is we’ll get some really shitty predominantly black cast movies that will do poorly and Black Panther will be a

Tales...... From............ Home........

Spaghetti Cat still makes me fall down laughing.

My favorite part was when a joke would bomb, and Joel would look off stage at a writer or producer and be say softly “I told you that would bomb”.

Sooo meaty!

Chicks, man

That show, when it was still on Fri. night, was a great way to wrap the week.

I really do think Michael’s death contributed to that. Sees her life a bit differently and tries to be more open to life’s experiences and opportunities that come her way.

I hope Rafael’s parents are good people because he has not had much luck in the family’s department. In that regard I feel bad for him and want him to catch a break

Maybe Jane should try to write books that aren’t romance. Maybe working for Petra would make her realize that she enjoys doing other genres.

“I told them that you and daddy were exploring each other with kisses.”
“Esteban is shooting a mediocre but long-term series in Moldova?”
“Sorry to interrupt but Rafael is here and I thought you’d want to see him since you’re in the doghouse.” “Krishna, that’s not an appropriate thing to announce when I’m in a meeting.”

Rafael in fetish gear is something I knew that I wanted, but was sure I would never get. Miracles do happen.

So, when the Narrator said “ah, memories” at the montage of Mateo’s first day in kindergarten, that must be a confirmation that he is, in fact, a grown-up Mateo, right?

FYI, I’ve been watching One Day at a Time (perfect for a rainy afternoon), and Ivonne Coll also has a cameo! She shows up in episode 7 playing a very glamorous rival to Rita Moreno’s character, and they have a delightful scene together.

The phrasing was actually, “Be careful or the whole thing will come crashing down,” which of course makes it a double-layered joke (both the literal version and the allusion to the charade that the narrator is making). I don’t know how this show is able to have its cake and eat it as easily as it does.
