These memes, as they’ve been popping up my various feeds, are seriously the only things to make me smile this week. Every time I see a nasty comment telling us to shut up and stop our whining, complaining about our sour grapes, and making so many of us feel unwelcome in our own land, I look at these again. I can’t

I miss them both, so much, already. Soooo much.

Contact your local political animal. We have to start at the local level. If you belong to any professional group or union, work with them to see what their lines are with Trump and his policies.

What’s the best way to find out about local marches? I always see that they’ve happened after the fact.

Beware of the trolls, people. Do not respond to them, or you’ll bring them out of the greys, and everyone will have to look at their hateful language and deplorable ideas. #basketofdeplorables

Idiocracy got it wrong, though. The movie imagined people living in a society that embraces its own idiocy and crassness. In real life, we instead have people who believe they are the smartest and the most cultured using their supposed knowledge to justify whatever stupidity they are saying or doing.

Aren’t we all living in our worst week ever?

Just a note to weigh in: I am aggressively not doing the things on this list and also drinking.

I don’t see how Trump suffers any kind of real consequences in the situation you describe. He will have the platinum health care afforded by his position (be it the title of POTUS or his personal wealth). He will make connections that will allow him to retain his wealth and status even after he’s out of office. He

Three things I genuinely think Trump is concerned about today:

“why not run something like John Stewart/Elizabeth Warren in 2020 and let Stewart do all the heavy lifting of humiliating Trump in debates/rallies and we all just assume Warren will do the heavy lifting”

congrats on reaching the bargaining stage

Besides the obvious terrors of President Trump, add on how absolutely joyous Mike Pence is to know he is really the President Elect.

I’m not gonna take solace in the fact that King Cheeto might finally be realizing he’s in way over his head. Does he strike anyone as a man that would handle that by cradling his knees in a dark corner of the White House, tears streaking through his spray tan unmercifully?

This is what’s going to happen anyway. He doesn’t understand what a blind trust is, you think he’s going to be able to absorb the intricacies of international diplomacy?

I hope this job literally kills him (through the stress, not some asshole that decides to make this clown a martyr)

Eh, I would love to believe this, but I just don’t. He’s going to push literally everything on to his senior staff and Pence. He’ll blindly sign what they put in front of him (just as he’s happily admitted in depositions to doing with his businesses) while he wanders around from Mar a Lago and the White House groping

Mitch McConnell face is always terrifying. Always and forever. Like a weird plastic turtle.

So much efficient.

Say what you will, his dismantling of the Constitution will be quick and efficient. He managed to attack freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, and freedom of the press all inside of 140 characters.
