Ugh same. I’m obsessive about brushing/flossing but hadn’t been to the dentist in about 7 years due to finances. Now I need about $10k worth of dental work. Bad teeth genetics, it turns out.

Having a Masters in Animal Science and having actually spent my career working around the beef cattle industry, yes, I would say most are treated as humanely as possible.

Nobody said that it did.

Significantly more humanely than in China. Which is the point. We don’t eat dogs in the US, and the dogs eaten in China are subject to horrific abuse. Hence my response to someone commenting they don’t see the problem with people eating dogs.

Strongly suggest you look into the raising and slaughter practices in China.

I don’t object to people eating animals, so long as they are treated humanely. Sadly, not the case in China. 

Well, both A Dog’s Purpose and A Dog’s Journey are books, so...the plot isn’t actually that much of a mystery.

Central Oregon. Between, Bend, Prineville, Redmond, and Madras, we are getting absolutely inundated.

My town of 30,000 is expecting over a million tourists. Gas stations started running dry yesterday. Grocery stores were running out of food. Traffic is at a standstill. I’m staying in my house until Tuesday. Absolutely ridiculous.
