Thanks for the rundown! In the future, it might be great to include a section on smartwatch support - do each of these have a Pebble, Android Wear, and Apple Watch app, and if so, what does that app do and how good is it at those things?

I’m not quite that old, but I suffered through Wing Commander just to see the Episode 1 trailer, so I feel your pain.

Not having Deadpool do a commentary track over Deadpool seems like a missed opportunity.

Well, damn - I was hoping for a sale on the Dot, too!

I was a bit bummed to discover that I wasn’t grandfathered into the patron features, considering I bought Overcast before it was free. 😕

I like the part where the story still hasn’t been corrected. Guess that fear isn’t gonna monger itself. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Except that you can fix the phone by draining the battery. Not saying there shouldn’t be a high-priority software fix coming, but Gizmodo and Wired have both failed to report on this correctly.

Came here to say this - clearly more people need to read Ars Technica before posting blatant falsehoods.

Glad I read the reviews...I almost pulled the trigger, but the inability to skip back a track kills it for me. My primary use for headphones is podcasts, and I’m constantly using the “go back a track” button to re-listen to the last 30 seconds.

Well, Tyrion did manage to save King’s Landing from Stannis, so there’s that?

This is a great, unbiased comparison. Thank you!

For me it’s:

Dear Mr. Lucas:

Sad to see you go, but excited that I’ll still get to read your stuff over at Ars! It’s a great place.

Sure, but I use those when I don’t plan to read something within the next few hours or want something saved for offline consumption.

Was so excited when this rolled out yesterday. 3D touch is great for apps that involve news consumption (ie, Reeder and TweetBot), and Split View on my iPad Air 2 is actually really great, as it allows me to do my usual Reeder workflow, which is to open a bunch of links up in Safari tabs and them read them later when

Weird that Waze is getting this before Google Maps...or any other Google app, for that matter.

Game-wise, I’ve found that Alto’s Adventure works surprisingly well on the TV.

I was taking more issue with the phrase “successful adult” than “professional” - unless, of course, you truly believe that someone has to be a “professional” to be “successful”.

Speak for yourself, I suppose. I’m a successful adult who owns his own house, has a decent job, and is, in fact, “allowed” to go outside for a daily walk. I also generally don’t work more than 8 or 9 hours a day unless I’m feeling really passionate about a project.
