I’m going to use the connection to sports here to admit that I still, at least once a day, end up on Deadspin (RIP) out of sheer reflex. I then feel guilty and click out of it.

Yup. The way he described climbing the poles is exactly how my 4yo gives me heart attacks on the playground. Obviously I could do it too, but I'm fattening up for the winter so I need to conserve energy.

This is why we have/need stronger antitrust laws- No one likes Amazon, but it is so pervasive that it is unrealistic to get through a week or month without needing to use it somehow.

Employees in other fields are routinely put on suspension pending these sorts of investigations. I represent them. It happens. Questioning whether and why that didn’t happen here is completely legitimate.
