You think her dystopia books are depressing? As a product of the Canadian education system, I was made to read her stories about life in the rural Canadian prairies. Depressing AND “I want to stab out my eyes for the stimulation” boring.

CHIP is popular with Republican voters too. Funding it as a “reward” for Democrat cooperation wasn’t much of an ask for the Republicans.
