My take? If they were doing what the headline says they are doing, that would be crazy. Outrageous, even. Those scientists failed to predict the unpredictable, after all. What reasonable person would think them guilty of manslaughter?

"Verdict due in trial of six scientists facing manslaughter charges for failing to predict earthquake"

Wait, the CPC-led government might have turned a blind eye to someone who intended to befoul the environment?!?

The way I like to think about questions like this is:

It's the quotation marks that really sell this. Awesome.

The new comment system is garbage, and everyone at Gawker knows it. You can tell they know it because whenever they do an interview with someone important/famous, they revert to a readable, chronological comment system.

"In the comic, this fate was reserved for smug dead Dale."

Well, to be fair, I didn't say *you* reject anything. I said the link you provided is full of examples of believers who reject evolution. And as to your micro vs. macro evolution point, it's an ontological argument that creationists make, but to biologists, there is no practical difference. Macro evolution is simply

Not to pick a fight, but the link you provided is replete with examples of believers rejecting scientific theory. (note that in science, there is no such thing as a "proven scientific theory") The rejection of evolution, and promotion of intelligent design would be an obvious example.

This means something...

"Mass Effect 3’s Best Action Hero Is Getting His Own Comic!!!"

I don't see how MS points confuse anyone. Pretty basic math to figure out what things cost. And the "leftover points" gripe is a red herring, unless you only want to buy one thing ever with your MS points.

Nicely done.

Oh man, apple makes the *coolest* adapters.

Poe's Law perfection.

BMI is actually a very effective tool, since it isn't practical to measure body fat percentages of entire populations. You are 100% correct to say it's not a good indicator of fitness for an individual. I would simply add that it was never intended to be, and anyone using it as such is using it incorrectly.

Just get a good two-handed grip on that bitch and hold it under the water until it's dead.

Ugh. Long fingernails are the worst for that.

BMI is not supposed to be used for individuals, though. It's a measure for studying populations and demographics. For example, if I tell you the median age of American males is about 36 years old, it makes no sense to say "Median age is crap. I'm only 28."
