Wanted to make sure you saw this too.
Wanted to make sure you saw this too.
Someone make this happen right now!
I read that article yesterday, and that's the first thing I thought of too. Gah!
Well, to be fair, the movie never states what the cause of the impending disaster is. Also, I thought (and wikipedia confirms) that the glowing object in the "night" sky is the sun, not the moon.
I have been trying to imagine how Batman gets his body in the position depicted in the Batman v. Bane image. Like, he has simultaneously missed a dragon kick (to Bane's left) and a Superman-punch to Bane's right? What?
Alberta? I mean, it has to be here in Alberta, right?
Troi and Riker were *destined* to be together, man. He even shaved his beard for her.
That's for sure. Every designer I've ever worked with would make the logo the smallest element on the page, and insist on 6pt fonts for text.
Fighting is a part of the game. It always has been and Gretzky Sr. knows it. There's a reason the Oiler's filled a roster spot with Dave "Cement Head" Semenko for all those years.
I couldn't remember what the standard used was, thanks. You're right, and I'm not saying it wasn't at all late. Per your numbers it was 0.33 seconds late. I'm just saying to @thunderlips it wasn't "several seconds" late.
That hit was many things, but it wasn't *that* late. It's charging for sure, even if you don't take into account the fact that Torres jumped, and the head is the principle point of contact. But it's not "several seconds" late. In slow motion it's not even 2 seconds. In real-time, it's under a second.
I *think* there are IR receivers that you can use to accomplish this, but I don't know about bringing your HTPC back on from being turned off - that might only work from suspend? Another option might be if you could find a way to remotely turn a power strip on, and configure your HTPC to turn on when power is restored…
Exactly. I'd just add that when the in-laws are babysitting, it's awesome to be able to say "When you want to watch TV, press the button labeled 'Watch TV' and wait a second."
I expect that's art-historian for "I stand corrected."
I had some snark about this article + io9 + 'Walking Dead,' but life's too short, isn't it? Charlie, I dug your article and think nerd-dom would be better off if more people thought like this. Thanks!
Not sure if this will work or not: here is the link to the study in question:
I see what you mean - I saw a bunch of articles that said the Captain did that, and some that said other officers did, one that claimed several people who tried to storm a rescue boat were shot... I also saw mention of Officer Murdoch and the damage done to his reputation by Cameron's film.
