Most reliability surveys for laptops put Toshiba and ASUS up front. Look for a model with an upgradable battery (9 cell) - that should land you in the 6-7 hour range without underclocking.

I think the issue isn't that ads are present, it's the type of ad, and the percentage of screen real estate given to them that people don't like. I've seen reports of up to 75% of the home screen consumed with ads. Ads that are the same size as the 'launch the game' square. That sort of thing.
I'm not too worked up about the ads personally, but I don't think the people who are bothered by them in this instance are wrong. To explain, I need to take a little detour.

We get gifts for our house keepers, and for our day home provider. The trick with the house keeper is it isn't the same people all the time, so that's usually something like gourmet chocolates or the like.
"...eight Ferraris, three Mercedes, one Lamborghini, and two Toyota, one of which was a Prius."
Not trying to argue either. The big one these days (as I suspect you are aware from past comments/threads) is climate change, but FOX treats many stories the same way, i.e. creationism/intelligent design.
Not the "tolerance" canard again?!?
Have you looked at VBA for Word? I think it would be pretty straightforward to have a word template that opens up your document and imports the data.
I'm still watching this show, but I am not really sure why. This episode neutered the main villain, like Charlie mentioned, and likewise the spy, who is only really trying to save her mom.
Thanks for the Vtech Baby Learning Laptop. Picking one up!
From Karlott's link:
You know what it says, but obviously don't care. What the students did was the very definition of peaceful assembly. Simply declaring otherwise doesn't cut it, MonkeyChunks. Burden of proof, and all of that. If your contention is that the protesters were *violent*, show your work. Note: using foul language and/or…
Well, I don't really use it as a media center, just as a set top box that streams video from a media server. So all my DVD movies and TV shows are ripped, and organized. Then they are accessible on any TV in the house.
Since I use Xboxes for media streaming all over my house, this is an awesome strategy from where I'm sitting. I'd use them for Netflix too, if Netflix Canada didn't suck out loud.
That's a hell of a leap. How would you presume to know that I haven't? I have, in fact, watched them. Did you read the article I mentioned? I doubt it, but you never know.
These kids joined hands, turned their backs on the officers, and were sitting down. You openly questioned my interest in the truth, and then throw around hyperbole like "Hold police officers hostage"?!?
I wonder if you believe that repeating something over and over will have any effect on the actual facts of the case.
Bob Ostertag wrote a brilliant dissection of B.S. arguments like this. You should Google it. In it, he talks to the California Department of Corrections, whose own regulations state that using pepper spray on an inmate (or inmates) who are sitting down, and hence not an immediate threat, is by definition excessive…
