If a restaurants doesn’t sell your six dollar entree, there may well be a good reason for that.

It’s about generating enough revenue. And no, being cheaper doesn’t necessarily bring in more traffic. If I have 10 tables to fill, I’m not going to be making very much money if they all order from the kids’ menu. My rent, my staffing costs, those are fixed, more or less.

It’s about more than the margins.  You have to sell a lot of 3.99 orders of mac and cheese to pay all your bills, and getting traffic is about a lot more than being cheap

It’s almost like restaurants do these sorts of things to make money...
