Oh no. That sounds so wretched. I hope it improves for you soon.

Thanks, doll! I'm going to double down on finding a new job after my vacation next month. I have a feeling the department is in a death spiral, given who's in charge of it, and the sooner I bail, the better.

No idea! I'm going to head down to the Korean deli that's in my office building in an hour or so and see what they've got.

You're only an asshole if you yelled at them about it. Which I very much doubt.

For Mother's Day I did roasted asparagus, mini Maryland crabcakes, and lobster tails. It turned out really well, and was easy, which was good because we actually ran so many errands (and did a bunch of hardcore gardening) that I was knackered by the time we ate.

Batwoman and Luke Cage. I fear Marvel will cancel the latter after two issues, because we can't have nice things.

For what it's worth, it's really good so far.

That's great!

I just found out yesterday that the government agency I contract with is forcing its contractors to remove any and all writing/editing acknowledgments from publications. No other agency in the department is doing this, just ours. Which means that people who have worked really hard on publications for months and years

Thank you so much for the recommendation! I'm absolutely going to check it out.

Not just you. I've had some issues with it today.

Fortunately, in Alexandria there are many cultures from which to choose when picking a restaurant!

I don't get as upset about it as some people do re: the portrayal of geeks, but it's still pretty lazy and shallow. But then again, it's a CBS sitcom. I just tend to not watch stuff I don't like, because who has the time for that shit?

It's ridiculous how much money I spend there. I go in with a list of a dozen necessities and always walk out with twice the items. Have you tried their green sriracha? It's amazing.
