Prepare to be disappointed. For me it was definitely a victim of the hype. It was so highly touted around here and The Dissolve that when I saw it I couldn't help but be disappointed.

I definitely think Bakker's comment is onto something, even if it doesn't exactly capture why people call some works pretentious.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I've received a shout-out in a Block & Tackle column. I can die now.

The Vikings should dominate the Lions, but they've had some serious trouble with road games in recent years. I just heard the Vikings haven't won a road game against a divisional opponent since 2009 (the Favre year). That's not good.

Absolutely - I remember being excited that we were going to see the "slate clearing" visual again, but then those murders were absolutely brutal and heartbreaking.

You're my family and I love you, but you're terrible. You're all terrible.

Are you maximizing your devil deal chances?

Pun aside, I would take the Poop over a lot of other spacebar items. At the very least it gives you a shot at coins (or other pickups) dropping every room when you shoot the poop.

Others have already said as much so I won't repeat them too much, but this was really great.

Honestly… no. He makes fun of himself more than anything, I've found.

Jokes usually don't "land" in trailers - the timing is all off. Trailers grind everything to a halt so we're sure to catch the punchline, but almost always (even in bad movies, I've found) it's not an accurate representation of how the joke comes across the film.

QTEs have obviously become extremely boring and over-used by now, but I'm pretty sure RE4 was the first time I ever encountered them.

NOT ENOUGH CASH.

No Shrike? Fuck you.

So, we're calling viral advertising "dada" now for the purposes of an obnoxiously written article? OK.

I'm pretty sure I feel about The National (with the exception of Exile Vilify, which I love) the way that lots of people feel about Radiohead.

Radiohead is my favorite band and has been since I was about 11 years old, but I absolutely respect and understand people not getting them.

Agree! Maybe some of it is the Seinfeld-effect with Neutral Milk Hotel, but their music just sounds shockingly generic to me, even if I can recognize it as something that I "should" like.

Crucify you? There's no shade in the shadow of the cross, brother.
