Bacon isn't stupid, it's delicious. A bit overrated perhaps, but its flavor works well with a lot of other foods. Everything about these cupcake sausages seems unappetizing.

Incandescents put out quite a bit more heat. For example, the heatsink on my LED fixture (containing 8 high powered LEDs) never really gets hot. It gets slightly warm, but that's about it. Its got a small computer fan on it that's running all the time though, so any heat is sucked out pretty quickly

another advantage is that they light up instantly vs. the couple minute warm-up period that some CFLs still exibit.
