Yeah I watched the Today show this morning. I turned around when I heard them saying “it’s a sad day” thinking ‘on shit who died?’ but it was this. They literally spent like, 1 minute 30 seconds on it and then we’re like.. and in other news. I didn’t feel like it was anything other than them paying lip service.

Leon Weisletier, Mark Halperin, Matt Tiabbi, Matt Lauer.

over the holiday weekend, mom and i both were casually speculating that Matt Lauer would be the next to fall. just based on long history of rumors, general known dickishness, and our own sense of him (from afar) as predatory/manipulative. cackling forever that our feminine powers of prophecy brought this about so

NBC buried Farrow’s Weinstein special too.

Also, this idea that a major corporation with a huge in-house legal team and the best external counsel money can buy available to them cannot figure a good deal of stuff out in 36 hours is laughable.

Levar Burton. Please not Mr. Reading Rainbow.

“NBC’s decision to fire Lauer before the specifics of the allegations were made public is a puzzling new strategy employed by companies who have found that their ranks are brimming with alleged sexual predators—more of a hurried Band-aid than an actual solution.”

I generally agree with what you’re saying - my only caveat would be that I think the abusers/harassers are everyone who you think it would be + more (given that some are able to keep their predatory predilections hidden deep inside - especially those who are abusing intimate partners/children).

I am assuming they have something very concrete-a video or audio recording or something similar, and when they found the evidence alongside the on-the-record accusation, it was a done deal.

I never watched Today that much, but I liked him well enough. That said, I always got the feeling he was a dick to work with (poor Ann Curry).

It was always kind of strange how muted the media response was to the “...grab them by the pussy” comments made by a presidential candidate. It was appropriate to have a full scale outrage attack. The same thing with our sitting president’s behavior around and statements to Macron’s wife. Does anyone think Walter

Hey now, we still have a MONTH of 2017 left. I for one am betting that my post of my family playing Shut the Box on Christmas Eve while drunk so we don’t have to have a real conversation will get many more likes than [checks above] ...eleven...point...one...million...

His interviews with Hillary and Trump during the campaign were an epic fail, and NBC was criticized harshly for his performance.

Damn Matt that’s ucked fup. I can’t wait for all the dirty laundry to air. Fellas, please let this be a lesson going forward and stop the bullshit. Quite a few actors and entertainers I previously liked (Kevin Spacey, Jeffrey Tambor) I am now extremely disappointed in.

Karma is a beautiful thing.

Why is suits continuing its served its purpose of getting an unknown actress married to royalty. Just end it and accept that you are now an answer to a trivia question.

Yeah I don’t really watch these morning shows but I remember catching a bit of him and his co-hosts discussing how they watche the tennis “battle of the sexes” between King and McEnroe when they were kids and he talked about how he was rooting for McEnroe and all his co-hosts were like “what?” And he was like “yeah of

Fortunately or unfortunately, I suspect that the easiest way to make sure this is widely and properly publicly accepted will be to revisit the Clinton / Lewinsky debacle much more emphatically.

Omg, my mother and I had to school my younger brother on that in a major way a couple of years ago. Somehow Clinton/Lewinsky got brought up in conversation and he was like “Well she was an adult...” and we were like “Uh how about you shut up and listen to us while we explain power differentials to you.”
