Yeah super weird setup. I have a 4Runner and the hardest problem I have with my hitch height is that it’s too high on the 4Runner even on the lowest setting of my weight distribution hitch. And mine is for a full size travel trailer. So something is weird about that picture for sure. My 4Runner hitch height is about 2

It’s not just a matter of looks - doesn’t it also affect tongue weight and handling?

The problem is merely that the tow vehicle needs a lift! (joke, but for real).

That 4Runner (which is no small vehicle) looks cartoonishly tiny compared to that trailer too. Thanks to its “rugged capabilities” I suppose? But yeah as a result the thing looks like its 2 4Runners tall and ends up with a tongue way too tall for most normal vehicles.

It is, and I would agree! It seems a lot of these lifted campers are hitting the market and they all look terrible when connected to a regular crossover or SUV without a riser for the hitch.

It has some metal adorning the lower walls, 16-inch Goodyear Endurance off-road tires, and an axle lift.

I’m trying to imagine this thing in a 20 mph crosswind...

This was way too drama-free to be a David Tracy Joint (TM).

That’s kinda-sorta a lease. Pay only the nasty first few years depreciation, over and over and over. Wheeee!

I didn’t pay that much down on my F150 and I was never upside down during the loan. I got a stupid good price on it ($29k) so it didn’t depreciate like a lot of new vehicles do.

Counterpoint: If you are able to get an 84 month loan at ZERO FUCKING PERCENT, YOU’RE A MATHEMATICALLY INGORANT FOOL NOT TO TAKE IT.

At 0% its not bad, but the article does a poor job of explaining that 0% isn’t for everyone.

Average age of US cars and light trucks is 12 years: https://ihsmarkit.com/research-analysis/average-age-of-cars-and-light-trucks-in-the-us-rises.html

84 months at 0% is that really terrible if you plan to keep the car for 7 years? Many people do keep their cars for longer.

I know there’s an implied /s around here somewhere but I could totally see this happening.

“Which makes me wonder who 600 miles of range is really for.”

And I hope you did sue... and win.

I’d sooner bet that she doesn’t vote at all.

only to wake up 14 hours later naked on the lifeboat of a yacht with a bunch of purebred Pomeranians crawling all over you.
