Somehow I doubt the guy who takes hundreds of private jet lights a year, actually gives a rat’s ass about the energy being used to mine bitcoin.

LOL!  Well, he wasn’t driving a Jeep this time, so ... ;)

That sounds like a damn fine weekend!

TIL, air in WI gas stations is free, but as soon as you cross the IL state line, you’ll pay $2 (swipe card, please!) for 5 mins of air... Oh, and that on sundays there are no tireshops open that can repair a tire :-)

NICE!

I’m guessing the rust-free Nevada Jeep heard it was coming to Michigan and decided it needed a rustproof undercoating. So it gave itself one.”

Its adorable, and I really like it. That said, I’m still waiting for an electric scooter that’s the equivalent of a 125/150cc scoot, rather than a 50cc scoot. 28mph won’t get me to work safely, even though my commute is 5 miles from one suburb to the next. I need a burst of 45-50mph-ish.

In February of 2006, I bought a CPO 2004 Pontiac GTO with 5,200 miles on it. Over the course of the next 3-1/2 months, it spent 31 days in and out of the shop for various maladies. That car taught me the lemon-law only applies to new cars, not used. No matter how new the used car is.

That's a crock of shit. Almost nobody runs winter tires around here. Maybe one out of every 50k cars. I bet it's less. I hadn't even heard of them until I was almost 30. A good all season is fine in the winter.

My mom was awesome. She didn’t know much about cars, but she did like cars and value their style. She refused to drive a sedan, because “Four-doors are ugly.” So most of my life the family fleet consisted of an Oldsmobile coupe, and a regular cab 1/2 ton Chevy work truck.

Cheaping out on safety equipment? When did four wheel drive become safety equipment? That’s what my post was about.

That makes sense to me. A limited slip diff makes it a lot easier too.

Fair, but good all seasons work just fine. It’s a stock pickup truck that’s slow as dog-shit, I don’t need summer compound performance tires. If I loved in a hilly area, I would consider winter tires necessary. I’m a flat-lander though.

Mine doesn't have traction control. I just have to be judicious with my right foot. The locking rear end is pretty clutch though.

I am a cheap bastard. How cheap? I am a veteran of no less than 20 Chicago winters, driving exclusively 2wd pickup trucks. I took the plunge on snow tires about a decade ago. They’re really fun to have, but not necessary. I did the first 10 years on all seasons. The first five of those were in trucks that didn’t even

He did. He also junked that Kia and sold Project Swiss Cheese and POStal ... But then he bought like half a dozen more!

I’m going to hold you to it! I was discussing having an intervention for you on Oppo, after I read the article about you owning FOUR manual ZJs now.

13. 13 DT. You own a baker’s dozen. I love you, but you are officially a hoarder my man.

“I think I currently have four." Lol! I think...

Lets see if I can keep track here. You’ll now have four ZJ’s, two XJ’s (or is it three?), the Golden Eagle, the Commanche, the other truck, the FC vaguely truck-shaped substance, and your brother’s Mustang? Oh, and the Lexus-Cruiser. That’s a dozen, or a baker’s dozen by my count.
