It was a glorious weekend for wrenching. Better get that engine inside today though!

This was such a huge relief to see. I haven’t followed NASCAR in over a decade, and in fact I delight in making fun of the series these days, but man was that a scary accident. I have two daughters close to the same age, and I’m not ashamed to say that I teared up a bit when I saw that picture of him walking out of…
I hope they find it, but it's probably in a shipping container somewhere already.
The network was sold.
That’s a fair question. Frankly by then I was so cold and tired, I was fresh out of fucks to give.
Damn, I don’t have any pictures, but filling up a volume of space to the max is my thing. My buddies and I like to take long trips on our scooters. Under the seat of my Yamaha Zuma 125, I can fit a tool kit, a few spare parts, a change of clothes, and my c-pap machine. I’ve ridden that little guy as much as 496…
If I’ve learned anything from racing movies, it’s that the way to go faster is to push the pedal all the way to the floor.
That was an amazing drive, no doubt. Marco has been wildly under-performing for years though, and his stats bear that out. He’s got to do something to try and make a change. The raw talent is there, but being able to put it to use consistently has been lacking.
It’s about damn time.
Honestly, no. My dad had been a mechanic for about a decade, but he hated it. A couple years before I was born, he went into construction. We did a bit of wrenching together when I was a kid. We changed the serpentine belt on my mom’s car, repacked the bearings on his boat trailer, and a few other little jobs. Mostly…
Yeah, big time.
Yeah, Ed is a really interesting guy, who did some great work.
Bingo! I’ve said it over and over again. Ed Welburn left, and the whole place went to shit. Cadillac has been putting out designs that have all the presence of a piece of Melba toast, and Chevy has completely lost the plot and put out nothing but hideous garbage since he left.
BWAHAHAHAHA!
I will blame you if this happens!
I don’t know about Carpenter, but I would love to see it. I definitely agree McLaren was their own problem, and not Carlin. My fingers are crossed that things turn out OK for Carlin. Robin Miller and Marshall Pruett have both mentioned that the outlook for Juncos getting sponsors to run more this year, is looking…
Yeah, that I totally agree with you on. Of the Chevy teams that would be interested in cashing that check, Foyt is probably Alonso’s best bet. They are usually competitive at Indy. I don’t think Ed Carpenter is interested in running a 4th car this year. Ed is more interested in winning the 500 for himself, than…
You can’t be competitive just with money. McLaren themselves proved that last year. Nobody had more sponsorship dollars to work with last season than ASPM, and they were not very competitive at all. AJ Foyt had one of the best and definitely the most stable sponsorships in IndyCar for 15 years, and they did almost…
I love that idea, but there aren’t any really good Chevy teams with room to add another car for Indy. We might have to wait until 2021 for that.
I would love to see that, but there’s next to no chance for that. Hopefully Hinch can at least get the ride for Indy and a few other races.
