I spotted this glorious old Dodge Brothers coupe yesterday, while making an ACE Hardware run. I love everything about it, except the fake bullet-hole stickers. WTF is with that? This thing has real street cred, why fake it?
Hammer decided this cabinet was acceptable.
This afternoon, after day three of meetings, I pulled the last of the old cabinets out of my kitchen. Upon doing this I discovered ... A buried outlet. Yes, it was hot. Of course it was hot.
This half of the kitchen is starting to come together. I mocked up the stove in place to see how it will fit (forgot to take a pic before I put it back on the porch).
Today I finally was able to tear out this stupid penninsula/knee wall. The reason it had to wait, is the light switch for the kitchen is in this stupid thing, UNDER the counter. I finally had all the other electrical set up, and ready to go, so it time to break out the hammer, pry bars, sawzall, and oscillating tool.
I’m at a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert. Marshall Tucker just opened. Now I ask you Oppo, why the shit would someone bring a baby here?
My dad came over Tuesday and ran three new circuits for my kitchen. This morning I completed wiring up these outlets. I’ve run conduit before, but I’ve never pulled wire. My hands hurt like hell from yanking wire through flexible armored conduit. You people who live where Romex is legal have no freaking idea how easy…
That’s how my 5-year old described this movie, when she asked me to put it in. I can niether confirm nor deny this description, as I went back to poking holes in my kitchen walls to run electrical wiring, but it made me smile.
I found two buried junction boxes in this knee wall. One of which was just a dead end. Also found a random BX whip with tape on the end. Both were hot.
I finally have something to show for all this work I’ve been doing.
This will be a quicky. I want to say a public thanks to Noodles for this RAOK package of Speedeez Corvettes. I love these silly little things!
The last few days have been a lot of work, but not much to show for it. Finally I have the pantry cabinet installed.
I started our kitchen remodel in earnest today. Check out the wall paper and flooring I found under/behind some of the crap ass cabinets.
Spent the morning cleaning out half the kitchen. Here are the before pics.
My buddy bought this less than a mile from my house about 10 months ago. He has since bought an actual motorcycle and two more scooters, so he decided it didn’t make sense to keep this one any longer. This is why I sold my Kymco yesterday. Fuel injected Japanese reliability, and a healthy low end torque curve. For…
This nice gentleman rode off with my first scooter this afternoon, after giving me a wad of cash. The Kymco Super 8 150 was my first scoot. I owned it for just about two years, put nearly 1,000 miles on it, and sold it for $100 more than I paid for it. It will always hold a special place in my heart, but tomorrow I…
I’ve spent the bulk of the last month building custom cherry cabinets for my kitchen. I got them moved onto my porch yesterday. Now the hard work begins. I have 3-1/2 weeks to rip all the crap cabinets out, do a bunch of electrical work, carve in a hood vent, install the cabinets, seal the cabinets with polyurethane,…
I need to run something by the hive mind. I’ve got my scooter up for sale, I’m asking $1350 (hoping to actually get $1200). The reason I’m selling it, is to put the money towards buying my buddy’s Yamaha Zuma 125. I’m open to trades as well. Normally the trade offers I get are more comical than anything, and I enjoy a…
Mr Moneybags bought a house in the Hollywood hills. Needs some work though. The contractor is over to put on a new garage roof and chimney. The back fence needs to be replaced as well.
