I should know, my name ends with -ko ;)

Correction: Yuko is the name of the missing person. Yasuo is the name of her husband.

Oh god. I’m glad my friend doesn’t have to swim in that

I don’t think it reads as creepy to these tweens. That’s what they do at sleepovers. Snapping a picture of a sleeping pop idol plays into their fantasy world of being in a relationship with one.

My friend is swimming for Japan in the Paralympics and I can’t decide if I’m more worried about her contracting Zika or the water she’ll be swimming in. She’s young though so I’m not concerned about pregnancy but there are plenty of mosquitos in Japan to spread the virus. I knew the ocean was gross but I assumed they

Talulah Riley and Elon Musk sound like Bath and Body Works scents

I had a substitute teacher in highschool who did that, the usual Spanish teacher went on maternity leave and apparently the sub had written he spoke Spanish on his resume but basically he was taking night classes to keep ahead of the curriculum. He was very odd, a little sad.

I agree it is not built for those with disabilities. Especially Kyoto’s old buildings. I don’t know if it’s because my studies are in social services and have friends who are active in the disabled/minority community but I’ve noticed more people with disabilities out and about than I did when I was younger.

I don’t know when you were here but at least in Kyoto where I live currently it seems a little better. Disabled people aren’t “hidden”like they used to be.

I was gonna say, I can feel the dough clot in my stomach by just looking at the photo.

I liked your comment with a heavy heart because I agree and I believe what you just said is the unfortunate truth. These people love everything about black culture/people except the black part.

“Is there any gluten free options for this avocado toast recipe?” “what can I substitute for the avocado?” “Is it necessary to bake the bread in an oven?"

I bet it you asked these women they would have a word or two about how the Native Americans have disgraced their ancestors by conforming to contemporary (white) culture by no longer living in tee-pees and wearing loin cloths.

Did everyone just gloss over the part about women ripping out their IUDs together? I highly doubt a licensed gynecologist was present and that sounds terribly unhygienic and dangerous? Having my IUD inserted by a professional was traumatic by its self!

It’s "funny” how this one guy (who may very well had some mental instability) shoots up people and so many people are blaming BLM but when that psycho shot up Planned Parenthood and not only was he not “bombed out”, people didn’t run to blame the pro-life group.

She is only protected when she’s on duty. If she’s not in uniform and stopped for a traffic violation in an area where she isn’t known for her work, she is just as vulnerable as any other black person. She could tell the officer that she was a cop but what good did a black person’s word do for Phil Castile?

I have a similar story! I was often teased for having lots of dark body hair (thanks, dad). When I broke up with my first boyfriend in the 4th grade he got upset and said “fine, you’re hairy anyways!"

It’s really so elementary school. It’s the same as calling a kid with glasses four-eyes. These boys don’t know how to play so they get butt-hurt and scramble for whatever they can to try and hurt the person. Do they not see how childish they sound??

And he told his attackers, “anywhere but my face ! That’s my money maker!”
