I had forgotten that this was going to be a time-travel episode, so at first I was struck by the disrespect of not even name-dropping the Legends as Team SG was venturing into their wheelhouse. But Nia’s WAZZZAAAAAP won me over.

Fyi based on timing it looks like this show is set after the events of the current Supergirl storyline, which was set in the spring of last year. I bet earth 1 luthor has been exposed as the villian to the public.

The thought was that by delaying the recast by half a season, it’s a bit less jarring. Also relevant that they’re recasting Kate as a character, but she’s also not the primary lead (well, at least in terms of being Batwoman) anymore.

I always love goofy Power of Love/Power of Friendship endings in my comics/superhero based media. And back when The Flash started it was supposed to be the goofy and fun corner of the Arrowverse, so this is kind of a throwback to that (even if Legends of Tomorrow has embraced the goofiness more.)

Agreed. I’ve always thought that Flash was best when it was big, goofy, Silver Age, and wore it’s heart on it’s sleeve. It was very chunkily executed, but they had the right idea.

And it had nothing to do with characters intentionally keeping secrets form each other or having to race another very fast man!

Just think, it didn’t take money, it didn’t take fame. Barry didn’t need no credit card to ride that train. Huey Lewis was, is and always will be the answer to all of life’s big problems.

All these people out in Star City figured out their loved ones weren’t really themselves in a matter of hours, yet it took Team Flash WEEKS to realize the same had been done to Iris. How embarrassing...
