The tone was unexpected to me and I am not sure how I am going to like it compared to the sunnier Supergirl.

Interesting real life ArrowVerse crossover: Tyler Hoechlin and Katie Cassidy went to prom together
I don’t like it when fans “demand” that some celebrity say something or stand up for their causes. It’s creepy and weird. They don’t owe you that. Also, once you “demand” it, then it becomes performative, even if it’s how they truly feel.
Is it really “selfish” to want to keep people alive? It’s not as if Tony’s daughter is the only person born since the snap.
I cackled with glee when he pulled out his card like that
Two things I loved about this episode:
It had everything: twists, pathos, overcomplicatedness, comic book style villainy, complete insanity. It was so her
I loved that Alice’s plan to have her father murder her twin sister was so twisted and insane that it even freaked out Tommy & when he ratted her out to her dad he begged him not to tell her it was him, since he didn’t want to get on her bad side
My bet’s on Dormamu.
Legit disappointed that the helicopter didn’t say “THANOS” on the side.
That helicopter was totally a S.W.O.R.D. quadcopter they sent into her little world.
The Harts ask their hosts mundane questions about their pasts, and tension builds as it becomes clear they can’t answer. The mood shifts from Sherwood Schwartz to David Lynch when Mr. Hart starts to choke at the table while Mrs. Hart, whose smile remains eerily frozen, demands that her husband “Stop it!” Wanda calmly…
Either of the two reveals would have been OK I think. Either having the Doctor finding out they’re not a Gallifreyan OR revealing that Tecteun experimented on her own child to invent regeneration would have worked, but that was too much retcon at once
It’s all been downhill since Series 1!
I’ll politely disagree with that. Capaldi’s final two seasons are the best one-two punch since Season 26 + Series 1. And Series 5 is easily the best season of the revival.
You know, maybe Peter doesn’t need to be glued to the hip with a mentor figure?
“Don’t you know the Dewey Decimal system”
Conan the Librarian
I’ve read that Benoist and several other Supergirl contracts are set to expire at the end of Season 6. I believe she’s also either pregnant or just had a baby which might make her less interested in a rigorous show like Supergirl.
Yeah, I liked the idea of Cavill playing Holmes here; I actually like him as Superman, despite the material, and I dig Man from UNCLE. Brown at least gives the feisty performance you expect, even though the movie doesn’t give her a lot. But Cavill’s performance here is a genuine disappointment for me.
