Yep yep, I loved Unavowed.

Yeah, believe me. I really wanted to enjoy this game’s hokey storytelling virtues. It has great voice acting. There IS a charm to its atmosphere. But every review of this game should start off by stating: “45 to 60 minute MISSIONS. FIVE per character!! 20-30 minutes per mission at BEST if you’re ZOOMING through them!

Yep yep! That’s my favorite mission story in that level, to be sure (awesome and crazy to say the “love letter poison coke fiend death bit is my favorite”). That and the Hippo related challenges. To me this was a pretty good area, but not as stellar as Sapienza, but just because Sapienza is so magnificent. Similar to

That’s 100% true. I’ve found playing Hitman compared to playing other solid action titles, puzzler or otherwise, can be very much akin to instinctively eating gum versus having to write instructions for how to unwrap and eat gum.

I hope you have a great time with the PSX Classic!

Woohoo! MisterNoone liked Floyd! ^^

There is indeed. The key ingredient to the core gameplay is “controlled action puzzler chaos.” The narrative your emergent gameplay crafts as you attempt to accomplish any given random objective. Lends itself very well to replayability as a result.

Congrats! Have a great time with it! I hope it lives up to the hype. Bioware deserves a major win these days, darn it.

Well said. I concur 100% with you in having preference for Tarot reading analysis over horoscope interpretation. The latter’s too steeped in deliberately vague and nebulous terminology. And there’s no real interplay involved. Conversely, tarot reading, especially as you’ve described it, is all about the give and take

Thank you so much for your kind words. I know what my title would be if I did have a book: Stay With Me!—I SWEAR My Point’s Coming Soon... One Gamer’s Heartfelt Ramblings About How Games Changed His Life.

Sensational list! My favorite 2018 games not from 2018 were the entirety of The Blackwell Legacy series, Resident Evil HD, and Resident Evil 4. Each of them sensational classics in their own right. I was particularly surprised by just how much I loved Resident Evil HD despite its extremely old school setting and

Along those lines, I really hope in Shenmue III we see that cat from Shenmue I show up. We need to know it’s on the trail of Lan Di too! It has to avenge its mother that got hit by his car just as Ryo seeks similar vengeance.

I can attest that the remaining chapters in the original Ninja Gaiden trilogy are just as lovably insane as the first one. I hope you have a great time with that world should you return to it in the near future.

Yeah, me too on Maria and Minorikawa. I really wanted there to be a 4/29 Epilogue section that showed how everyone went on with their lives. I feel like they game shifted from EVERYONE’S stories being equally vital to the tale to quickly honing in on the central three once more in that final section. Wasn’t bad as a

Superb list from this blessed site as always, /cheer! ^^ Covered almost every one of my top titles for this year (God of War, Unavowed, Spider-Man, etc.). So I’ll just single out a space here for a personal favorite—I loved Yakuza Kiwami 2 because it completed the reflective trilogy that started with Yakuza 0. It’s The

/cheer to you! I enjoyed that game too!
