I find it immensely vexing that music programmers seem to think Kate Bush only wrote one song- “Running Up the Hill”. It is my least favorite song of hers and causes me to shout at the radio whenever I hear it played.

It’s the type of stuff that shatters into a zillion tiny little glass cubes usually- tempered glass is boring. It provides no ability to smash into shards and defend oneself from rampaging maniacs or bears, should you find yourself in need. Useless stuff all ‘round.

I once watched a glass coffee table shatter. It was surreal. Someone put a glass down directly on the table surface, but touched it gently with one side of the bottom edge first. It made a “plinck!”sound and the table dissolved quietly into a zillion little glass cubes instantly. Amazing! Pretty much exactly like

I loved the Smiths when I was a resentful and “misunderstood” teen. I grew up. Sounds like Morrissey didn’t.

He thinks the current uncovering of shitty behaviour in places like the entertainment industry is a witch hunt and certain people are being unfairly accused.

I’m kind of surprised Dutert didn’t take him out on a murder tour of the streets to see if they could bag themselves some drug dealers. I can guarantee you, Trump would have LOVED it.

Sorry people are making such a big deal about it too.

I am assuming he checked with a lawyer first about admitting to knowing a crime happened and then helping cover it up? Because sexual assault is a crime, contrary to what a whole bunch of sexual assaulters and rapists and their apologists seem to believe.

Pretty fucking paternalistic to police a space that is not actually his turf. Particularly as he was not asked to by the people whose turf it actually is- and who have told him his participation is not welcome. Is someone fishing for an opportunity to shout “reverse racism!” when their shitty behaviour is called out?

I figured it was just not profitable enough. I’m sure someone could make a go of it if it was independently owned and wasn’t looking to be a millionaire.

I’ve found myself in the greys all of a sudden. I assume it’s because I did not use a “/s” in my response here. Apologies.

Am I right in seeing this person as appointing himself some sort of protector of black people’s space? Did someone at The Root ask him to do so?

Michelle Obama wasn’t “just” a wife. She was a woman with autonomy, a career of her own and in possession of astounding intellect and drive. She was also in completely equal partnership with her husband- who clearly loves and respects her (reciprocated!), and who is clearly proud of her singular accomplishments.

Pathologizing shitty behaviour is a really excellent way to skirt responsibility. There is no such thing as sex addiction. There IS such a thing as being a really fucking terrible person.

We get the same people in Vancouver. People who lose their damn minds when it rains will go full fucking bananas when it snows. SNOWPOCALYPSE (ie: a half inch that kind of sticks).

Well, when all the heart, cholesterol, glaucoma and boner meds start becoming scarce, maybe the geriatric men in the US government will find the inspiration to start helping PR. As a user of a couple of meds that are frequently in short supply, it becomes a crisis pretty quickly.

“I was just kidding.” is a magical offense eraser. Didn’t you know?

Oh hey! Good thing you’re here for all the educational responses, eh? 600,000 people died for you. Like Jesus did! That’s got to feel pretty good? No? Also forget history (even the 600,000 sacrifices part?) because somehow you are responsible for division amongst the citizens. Also, talking about slavery is not

AHA! Added to my list.
