Does she mean this is the context of first dates, or for *all* dinner dates? Because I don't think that's at all sustainable over a courtship of any length... I think it's completely unfair for a guy to have to finance an entire relationship even if he's one of the rare guys who could comfortably afford to.

When she said she doesn't take her bracelets off, all I could think about what the "why you should always take your jewelry off" article on Jezebel a few months ago!

They fixed the bones in her chest too. I have a similar bony chest issue going on- it's one of the reasons I maintain a higher body weight now that I'm a little older- my chest and face have less fat to spare. Well, that and the fact that food is wonderful. :)

@lucyjae: My mom's the opposite- she isn't a proponent of natural childbirth- mainly because my dad *insisted* that she have a natural childbirth with both me and my brother!

Jeez, maybe she takes her jewelry off at the beach. I certainly do.

I found out about this challenge in July. I didn't feel like I could get by on 6 items of clothes in July in New Orleans without smelling offensive, so instead I chronicled how many items of clothing I wore. Work clothes were reused frequently, but I wore a lot of different gym outfits, as I recall.

Was anyone else completely distracted by the glaringly fake background and weird lighting that kept reflecting in her glasses?

@AGirlFromIpanema: From a weight loss standpoint, artificially sweetened beverages are just as linked to weight gain as sugar sweetened beverages.

@shortness: There is mounting evidence that drinking artificially sweetened beverages contributes to weight gain and obesity as much as drinking sugared beverages does. Some studies suggest that's because you want all of your other food to be sweeter as a result of your tastebuds being trained to tolerate that level

@lalie (apologetic mess): As it is, it looks exactly like my cat does when he's howling for food every morning!

@SNEAKERS: Seriously. Now that I have long hair and a degree of dexterity, I'd like to learn to French Braid.

@cupofgreentea: I think I had this, but never mastered a single look!

@LindyLou: What about a *side* ponytail?

My ponytail height depends on the rest of my look. It varies from below average to above average...today I'm wearing a very low ponytail at work to add some seriousness to my bright pink frilly tuxedo shirt. Similarly, I like to lighten up a blazer with a high pony tail. An outfit in the middle gets an "average"

Also, along with Bookstore Cats, I've noticed a trend of small stationary stores having an in-store dog. I know of one in Gulfport, Ms that (when I went there a few years ago) had a Sheltie, and RSVP stationers in New Orleans has an adorable Westie named Jack. :)

Blue Cyprus in New Orleans has a very sweet Bookstore Kitty, but I don't know his name. :)

@in_media_res: Oh man, Black Honey is one of the few colors that work on me. I also like the Clinique Lipstick in Surprise, which seems to look different on everyone.
