In Starfleet ‘flagship’ is really just a gold sticker that says ‘our most favoritest of ships’. Its fleets are just ‘here’s a bunch of ships’. Which is fine! Starfleet’s not supposed to be a military navy. They fill that role but that’s not what they’re designed to be.

Weren't they just monks on Jedha and not actively part of the rebellion until the Rogue crew showed up?

not to be mean but regardless of how gruesome transformers is for an animated kids movie, the fact that that was your reference point for gore and violence suggests yah the boys was never gonna be your cuppa

Correct. The Galaxy Class could carry up to 6,000, it’s standard complement was only 1,000 (inclusive of both crew and families/civilians). It’s a reason the Enterprise’s corridors were always so empty, and the only parts of the ship you’d regularly run into people were at central hubs (like the bridge, engineering, Te

Now she can wear her Maga hat without fear of losing her Disney job.

Stepping away from what seems like the obvious choice (wealth and fame) can feel scary at times, but stepping into your dharma replaces the fear with fulfillment.

Huh, she’s a very good actress, but hardly what I think of for an action star.

I mean, X-Men has been going on for a pretty long while, and if certain writers have occasionally “answered” the question of whether Magneto or Xavier is right, it would seem that they’re still somehow asking it today. It’s almost as though it’s a question with no finite and concrete answer, not to mention it’s the

I copied and pasted that bit ready to comment but you beat me to it.

Bonkers writing.

I was thinking the same thing. I strongly believe we need to take mental health as seriously as physical health.

He’s not wrong. It was everything about the movie, rather than him specifically, but he’s spot on about why Love and Thunder didn’t work. Everyone involved just got too caught up in the fun of making it and pushed it too far into silliness.

I’ve been playing 40K since 1996.

I think there is a lot of distortion being created here with all the rumors and second-hand accounts, so the truth is probably somewhere in the middle: Feige might have asked them to make her a mutant, but he might not have specified how, and in that case it would be Marvel editorial who decided they needed to have

It feeds into the idea that Sisko is this unhinged madman, who’s the antithesis of the refined officer that is Picard

I love Garak, and I love DS9 (best Trek series, IMO). Sisko and the Federation were by this point quite desperate, and when one is that desperate you go to plain, simple Garak for solutions

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone call Sisko an unhinged madman, and while Sisko may be African American his character has always seemed to me to be race neutral, like make Sisko a bald white guy and what exactly about his character would have to change? In my opinion, nothing. "In the Pale Moonlight" deserves all

After being profoundly disappointed by Rise of the Beasts (after the genuinely great Bumblebee), I was managing my expectations. Seems that was the right move.

My lame claim to fame: I interviewed her for Fangoria magazine when I was covering the movie Sam’s Lake when it was filming about 20 years ago. Very lovely and talented performer, so it’s unfortunate that her performance isn’t going to be seen, but she does get a lot of work, so I can’t feel too bad for her.

Grievous was a terrifying enemy to the Jedi in Clone Wars.  Then in the movie he was basically a five minute joke.  Very disappointing.

I remain dedicated to the idea that this cartoon is the best thing that ever came out of The Clone Wars. Every episode is incredible. Anakin & Ventris’ treetop battle is particularly noteworthy.
