For a $200,000 salary? I’m pretty sure they do.
The primary reason the Picard series wasn’t worth of Patrick Stewart was… Patrick Stewart.
Don’t get me wrong, Galaxies turned into something great. But it took them a good long while to get there.
I mean, having been a Day 1 Galaxies player that’s not a high bar. Galaxies was a vacuous wasteland for a looong time. It very much got by simply because it was Star Wars.
That game was sooooo much better than the movie it was supporting. One of very few times I can remember that happening.
Cmon, there’s a long history of successful game designers transitioning to making films. Just look at Wing Commander...Um, on second thought, maybe don’t.
I think MOST people who aren’t Boomers still have strong reactions to face tattoos.
Umm, no they fucking didn’t. They iterated and hugely refined Mocap technology for Avatar, and absolutely pushed the field forward. But they absolutely didn’t “basically invent” it.
You’re absolutely right, but the actual analysis in this article is silly. Almost to the point of being deliberately obtuse.
Oh man, come to Miami. The stupidity of criminals here is only equal to the number of them. There was a time a year ago, when the Feds were going after PPP Loan fraud in full force, where you couldn’t go a week without reading about some idiot being indicted.
Sure, he can meet up with Leprechaun and Jason and go fuck up the space station.
My personal favorite part was where all those brave Amazon warriors give their lives to bring down the stone security doors to keep the villain from escaping the tomb… with a GIANT HOLE in the roof.
the “canonical” movies and shows have been borrowing since Mando and TRoS (which owes a massive debt to the Dark Empire comics, which also had a cloned Palpatine and “world destroyer” ships)
This list is…. Something. Hera and Chopper? Two of the main characters are “Easter eggs”?
The appearance of Ahsoka hasn’t helped matters—Dawson’s portrayal feels so stark compared to Ahsoka’s voice actor Ashley Eckstein, to the point that they’re basically two separate people
Was the series any good? Because I remembering buying the first graphic novel when I was about 12 and Holy Shit, even at that age I thought it was awful.
Damn, I forgot about that raft scene. The power of nostalgia.
Agreed. But I recently rewatched Crystal Skull for the first time since it was originally out, and I was surprised to find that I thought about 80% of it was far better than I remember, and a solid Indy film. The problem is that the other 20% (the fridge, the monkeys) was SO bad that it ruins everything around it.
I think there were more than two rockets. But the bigger wtf for me was that Spock planted the last one INSIDE THE BRIDGE. How TF does that work?
