I would just pretend it's a gameshow lightning round where I had to answer a series of questions in a limited amount of time and go "PASS!" They'd get three chances, then I'd run away. Problem solved.

Generally speaking, I think if you're fucking someone and realize they are no longer conscious, it's better to check on them and prioritize their health over busting your nut. Rapist? maybe, asshole? for sure.
Ummm if your partner ever passes out you should stop fucking them and get them the medical attention they need (if any)... not just keep going until you're done.
EXACTLY. I was thinking about that after I watched the episode, mainly trying to decide howI felt about the rape joke. But I mean, obviously we'd have to ask Lindy her thoughts, right ?
Exactly. In about 99% of jokes the butt is the rape victim. That's why the jokes are unfunny. When the butt of the joke is the rapist? Well ok, we can work with that. Here, Abbi was the butt. She did wrong. We are not mocking the victim, we're pointing at the perp.
If that food poisoning one is actually true, then that's awful. Her and the bride had a problem, and a bunch of wedding guests had to suffer because of that? Yikes.
Yeah, the joke was uncomfortable but definitely functioned on a level of complexity you don't often see in related discussions here.
Agreed. That, and they specifically address and then dispose of the "But he totally wanted it" excuse, going so far as to say "That is what rapists say." They also didn't shy away from using the word rapist or raped. They could have easily gone with "took advantage of" or something like that, but they didn't.
The fact that Abbi understood that it was wrong and called herself a monster is what sold it for me. Both rape moments in the episode, the Male Stacy one and when Abbi unwittingly kisses a 16 year old later, are immediately followed by "WHAT DID I DO??" not high fives. Still uncomfortable stuff, but that's what makes…
The reason why Madeline and Jezebel are confused by the "rape culture" joke is that they are making fun of people like Jezebel commentators.
We both know you didn't just pick Abu Dhabi out of a hat.
I'd like to know whether Aniston was asked about him and answered or brought him up. Seems an important context IMO.
I can see where you're coming from. I can only handle a few of her songs. However, one that I can listen to over and over again is "Water Me". The way it opens with this ratchet sound and then the groove drops in with that bass... I can dig it!
It took me a while to really get hooked, but now I can't stop listening to her.
Well Grimes does actually sing. So there's that.
I can't get into FKA Twigs. I've tried listening multiple times and it's just not for me - which is weird because everyone has told me if I like Grimes I would love it. Not the case.
If my partner's sister tried to cut my hair as I slept, I know I'd be allowed to kick her ass.
I would not be cool with this. Not just because I don't want to wake up and find someone who dislikes me holding a sharp object near my head. I don't like my sister's partner at all but I would never cut his hair while he slept. I would just pee in his shoes, like an adult.
I know one thing, if my husband acted like someone physically harming me was no big deal, he wouldn't be my husband much longer.
