This is basically the case with my friend - she is pretty timid for the most part and absolutely hates speaking up if she thinks it will upset someone, and he is a spoiled man-child who has to have his way no matter what. His own mother apparently apologized to my friend for how he has turned out.

I come from a conservative family with pretty traditional views , but one thing I will give my dad credit for is raising me to never fully depend on a man and being able to take care of myself. Somehow Brooke’s understanding of “being strong” has missed the mark so much.
