Nice clickbait photo at the top there....
Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the most deserving recipient of a Darwin Award that I have ever witnessed in 7 years of working on cars for a living.
Putting the actual seriousness of the offense aside, this guy is a fucking idiot and I wish you would stop giving him attention.
Oh, I'm sorry. I thought you said driving enthusiasts. A true driving enthusiast would prefer accurate physics to flashy graphics any day of the week.
Hey, I think I know that place. Is that ZMAX Dragway at the Charlotte Motor Speedway?
With brake pads, ceramic tends to be the best, as they give the best brake feel and the longest protection against brake fade, although dust may accumulate on your wheel a bit more than conventional pads.
Like America's foreign policy at the time of its introduction, "The Beast" was a clumsy solution to a delicate set of priorities that caused more problems that it solved.
Victor,
A Suburban? Seriously??? Those things are ridiculously easy to park, especially the GMT-400 generation pictured in the photo above. Great visibility, square sides, sure it's big but you have to be an idiot to not be able to park it.
"...Driving down the road and want a different station? Hit the button on the steering wheel and say "107.7 FM" or "650AM" or "Ozzy's Boneyard XM"...."
"...dialog that your dog would roll his eyes at, and characters so thin runway models pin them on their thinspo walls."
Ugh. I'm so sick of this term "shooting brake", especially considering that nearly all of them - whether they're concepts, fakes, or actual real cars (I'm looking at you Ferrari) - are hideously fugly. This Volvo, though, is absolutely GORGEOUS!! That said, I still prefer to think of it as a small two door wagon, or…
Heineken is NOT delicious. That is all.
I would love love LOVE to see a small 4 door sedan based off this platform with similar styling.
You got the Cars quote wrong. It's "Turn RIGHT to go LEFT!"
timto82, I think your system should be fine for checking it out. I'm using a 2008 era 24" iMac with a 2.93 Ghz Core 2 Duo, an NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 256 MB, and 4 GB of RAM. I have no issues at all running middle-of-the-road settings. Go for it!
Trail braking.
And that, right there, is why I hate the front end of nearly every current BMW.
