I own one, bought it a couple days after launch on a whim. I regret ever buying it as it has been on only as long as it took to play through NSMB2, which after playing I realized it was so derivative of the other games I could have done without.

If there were less games there would be more room for games that take risks. Because of the competition is absolutely a reason why games are all so similar.

I agree the market is over saturated. It makes it harder for great games to be released and contributes to why all modern games are clones of each other.

Sid Meier or Will Wright, or going back Dan Bunten. Perhaps a product of the times and limitations, these designers in my opinion have given us the most enjoyable creative visions.

Farcry 3 is hands down the better game. Since you might die before you finish both you should play that first.

Sounds like he's done absorbing criticism and ready to let it go which is good. It was the worst in the series though at least from a gameplay perspective, I at least hope he takes that with him.
