Really? I want to see this movie, but the herky-jerky quality is throwing me off. I was hoping the final product would be smoothed out.

Hoopla is also a good source for Comic Books if you are interested in that sort of thing. My county library is pretty great, and if they don’t have something I can get it through the State library sharing function. And if the State doesn’t have it then I just suffer in silence.

What’s funny is that the Paycheck he is cashing is still coming from The Browns, as contractually he earned more from The Browns than the Bengals. Browns FO is still paying him to lose. Honestly the money is better spent now.

I see your point, but I still posit that the scenes themselves were filmed and played out in a different way than these panels. It seemed more superhero fighting rather than just physically fit fighting. Or maybe it was just glorified too much. It just didn’t work for me.

I reread The Princess Bride earlier this year. It was less great than I remember but it was still very good. When I read it as a kid I thought the Goldman parts of the book were real. I have never rewatched this after seeing it in the theater, but I think Mr. Breihan pretty much nails why this film didn’t work despite being a near panel by panel recreation of the book.

I’m not sure if The Punisher ever slaughtered Innocents in Vietnam or anywhere else for that matter. I admit there could be a story out there where he does and I never read it. I think the difference is that Punisher has his own moral code, whereas The Comedian is amoral.

I’ve always felt that The Dark Knight was just too long. Maybe it was the extraneous Hong Kong scene (going for the Asia Market?) Definitely the tacked on and rushed Two-Face ending. It just seems like too much of a commitment for me to ever watch it again.
