I love how you made a classic Rabin typo in your announcement (Red Drawf indeed) That was on purpose right?

My World of Flops? At the AV Club? I feel like I am in a time machine and I went back to better days.
One of the reasons I love The Cure so much is their wildly different styles. Post-punk, Goth, Synth, Pop, hell they have a mariachi song in their catalog.
I blame the multiple Guns n’ Roses Needle drops. I think it was 4 all told. Did Taika just discover Appetite for Destruction the week before putting the movie together?
It’s not porno, it’s an Art Film.
My one brush with fame came at a Denny’s where I saw Matt LeBlanc (Height of Friends popularity)) eating with a female friend. If Denny’s can guarantee me that experience every time I will go back again.

“In fact, it may have made the film seem more like a television event than a theatrical blockbuster.”
Fury Road in theater was my birthday wish that year, and it delivered beyond expectations.
I only meant that a D&D specific audience was turned off by the brand because of the OGL issue. In RPG circles there were a lot of people boycotting the film because of it. I wouldn’t call it the biggest factor of why it didn’t make more money, but it a factor that should be considered.
To the wider movie-going audience, I agree. But to RPG players who would be very excited to a decent D&D movie but are now put off by the brand could’ve brought in a few million more.
I think the movie also hit an unexpected roadblock of coming out not too long after the D&D OGL kerfuffle. That soured a lot of people’s perceptions of D&D and it’s parent company (Hasbro) which is unfortunate.
Needs more pouches! And otherworldly musculature.
Many Bothans died to bring us the Death Star 2 plans. Not the OG Death Star
And, you wait forever to get what you think is going to be prestige TV, an 8 hour movie experience, but you end up with Secret Invasion
This is very much true.
Well, the end of the article does say there will be a Season 2, but I would hope for your sake that it ends well because Season 3 might not come.
I have a six year old that really enjoys Garfield. My older kid liked Garfield too but has moved on. I didn’t force Garfield on either of them, but I will say that we watch the Halloween Special every year.
As silly, and PG as the 1990 miniseries was, I felt that it’s framing device was better. Similar to the novel we are introduced to the main characters then given flashback’s to each one’s memories.
I know there was just some moderately successful movies based on It, but I really think a Flanagan miniseries based on It would be excellent. *
