I’ve been listening to his work all morning and finally broke down when “Floating in the Froth” came on. Jesus. It was all right there. Just terribly sad.

This movie was intense. Shannon and Judd give committed performances. Wild stuff.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen that “Surrender” cover. Thank you.
I’m devastated by this. Frightened Rabbit has been one of my favorite bands from the last decade. One of the ones I have listened to the most, always coming back to The Winter of Mixed Drinks and The Midnight Organ Fight. They wrote my favorite Christmas song “It’s Christmas so We’ll Stop.” It was always exciting to…
“Give me a shake black”
This is some shit news that I have been following all day. I hope he is found and well.
IBM is still a thing?
I was part of the problem ass well. I never checked it regularly, but when I did I found it absurdly hilarious.
I’ve become less forgiving of them as I’ve grown older. Before Force Awakens I rewatched the whole Star Wars series and I decided after I finished the Prequels that I never have to watch them ever again.
Thanks for the second opinion.
I get that Wonderbread is bland and has nutritional value but I can enjoy a salami sandwich made with it. It doesn’t get in the way of the mayo or meat. Therefore it has some intrinsic worth. I can’t say the same for Mike Pence.
I waited in line for Phantom, went to the midnight show for Attack of the Clones, and I can’t remember if I saw Revenge of the Sith in theaters. I must have, but it was just another movie going experience, nothing semi-memorable like the first two. By then I wasn’t excited, but only saw out of obligation. They are all…
Actually the podrace has always been my least favorite part of Phantom Menace, even with my love of Greg Proops. You’re not wrong about the lightsaber duel though. I still contend that Phantom is watchable today only when lightsabers are drawn.
I agree with you Re: Kilmer as Batman. He showed nothing as Wayne though. In the next installment I found that Clooney was the opposite. Good as Wayne, not so much as Batman.
I remember convincing myself I liked Phantom Menace, even going so far as arguing it’s merits with an older co-worker. Young me didn’t realize that a Star Wars movie could be bad. (and I was 20 years old, so it’s not like I was SO young)
Don’t blame me. I hated this movie when it came out. Tommy Lee Jones trying to out Crazy Jim Carrey. Between the two of them chewing it up there was no scenery left for anyone else. It was just a mess.
It’s been awhile since I’ve listened to that one (because of the label issues and lack of streaming) but i’d probably also call it half-passable.
She told me that her Dad was loaded,
I said “In that case I’ll have a rum and coca-cola.”
“Half Great” is a generous description for Morrissey’s latest album. I’d call it “Half Passable” I think I’ve listened to it twice and found nothing to hold me.
I do love this band. Their first three albums are pretty much great from start to finish. Their last few have been good, but don’t pack that emotional wollop of the early stuff.
