I don’t know what his intent is, but look at how FAST that play happens. It’s plenty plausible to make a bad decision in that microsecond. Love the people who take a single freeze frame from that and offer it as proof of intent.

There’s two really good teams playing out there. They are fun to watch. It’s nice basketball for a viewer who likes basketball. I hope they continue playing good basketball that is aesthetically pleasing.
