I 'found' it - it's one of the options for the add-on "Tab Mix Plus" mentioned above in this article. I guess I forgot about that add-on because I've never used FF without it.

I'm on FF-10 and I have exactly what you describe (the current/selected tab has a visible 'X' and my other 3 opened tabs do not have a visible 'X'), but I can't remember if/what I did to achieve this.. I just checked my userChrome file and I don't see anything in there related to this, so like @NovusWill mentioned, it…
Nevermind - even though the website still lists Firefox v1.80, it's actually 1.90.
So is 1.90 is for Chrome only?
Yeah, googling a phone # is pretty worthless because all the results are like you pointed out, just giant # databases or sites that tell you what city the # is from but require you to pay in order to see anything else.
I'm basically the same way; I use Lastpass for all my passwords except for gmail, amazon, my bank, twitter, and facebook. I mean, I definitely trust Lastpass and would be pretty shocked if my account was compromised, but you never know what hackers can do so if my account is hacked I'd be able to sleep a lot better…
I live in a townhome apartment, and I've registered to stop receiving phonebooks on more than one occasion but I still get it delivered to my porch every year.
I don't know if this is a 'dumb' question or not, but I currently keep 4 add-ons disabled because I only need them on occasion, so is keeping them disabled and not removing them from my add-ons list beneficial (i.e., faster start-ups), or do I have to disable AND remove them from the add-ons manager in order to see…
When I need to send a link to my phone from FF, I've been using the add-on Mobile Barcoder, which displays a bar/QR code of the website that you scan with your phone and opens the website.
When I was in nursing school, we had the option of taking our first pharmacology class online and 25 of the 30 people in my class opted to take the class online simply because we were required to give a presentation for our final (I was one of those 5 who took it on-campus). I honestly could not believe that ~80% of…
Ha, I was about to make the same comment. I'd consider myself a borderline introvert, however, I absolutely love giving speeches/presentations. I just pretend I'm a standup comic and do whatever I can to engage my audience and get them to laugh, regardless of what my topic is about.
I had to create a Pinterest tab (via social fixer ) for my facebook news feed because of how many girl friends of mine consistently post links from there throughout the day.
Yeah that Mozilla page has been dead for like at least 6 months now. I had it bookmarked when Lifehacker originally posted it back in April or whatever and would consult it on the rare occasion I wanted to install a new add-on and I was only able to 'use it' I think one time before they got rid of the page.
#Correction - the link to revisit your epic HDMI Battlemodo is broken/just links to this article.
Yeah, me too. The one & only time I tried this was about 5 years ago with Time-Warner cable. I called, said my bill was too high and that if they couldn't help me out I'd have to cancel, and without any hesitation I was transferred to their 'cancelling person' to schedule a time for a technician to come over and…

It appeared here on lifehacker in the tip box, that's how I found out about it and have been using it ever since.
(I can only speak from my experience using adobe professional 9, so I don't know if this works with adobe reader, acrobat or whatever) but when I encounter a secured document, I go to File>Print and then click on the dropbox that lists the different printers and select "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" - it doesn't…

Is it possible to sort/view/determine how many of my approx. 3,500 songs/mp3 files on my computer that were bought through iTunes vs. the one's that I acquired from other less 'legal' avenues (haha like napster, limewire, etc.)?
