As much as I enjoy Abrams's work and as deeply as I want it to be great on its own merits, a not insignificant part of me wanted it to set Rian Johnson up to make something spectcular most of all. Wonderful news!

Well they broadcast them in the order they were made, but some episodes time jump back and forth. Some stuff will make more sense if you watch in chronological order and you'll follow some characters for longer. There's a list on Wikipedia if you're interested.
