Sounds like he works at Carmax, and is maybe displaying just displaying it there? Also with the tone of his writing, he’s excited about more than a future payday.

Seems like getting hit in the beginning caused all the lost time at pits 2 and 3. Too bad - maybe if they didn’t have to repair the trans, they could have had time to fix that cooling fan. Next year!!

1st Gear: Disagree. Powertrain development is a very small portion of making a car. It’s done behind closed doors by R&D and calibration engineers.

There is a documentary style film from the 70's about Cevert and Stewart. It’s called The Quick and the Dead. Lots of awesome old footage.

I don’t think I can take 7 years of hyping a toyota joint project......again.

Being able to buy a car, basically of the lot, that will do sub 8's. What a time to be alive.

That’s different for every car/mileage. To me, bottom of the depreciation curve is where continuing to pile on miles doesn’t make much of a difference in resale value.

Once a car hits the bottom of the depreciation curve, any number of years you can or want to keep it after that is a bonus, providing that the car is reliable and doesn’t need prohibitively expensive repairs.

Paying sales tax every 2 years will suck your money away as well. I think rolling in tax to a finance deal is a big head start on being underwater that people don’t think about, even on a used car.

Think of it this way, you will be able to tell which car listings are fake based on the searching the license plate. If the results return multiple listings in places far from each other, it’s probably a scam.

...officers from the Derbyshire Constabulary’s Roads Policing Unit saw it while “investigating an entirely different matter.”

Understeer isn’t surprising. All factory alignments have understeer because it’s safer for the general public. If the biggest complaint they have can be fixed on an alignment rack for under $100, we’ve got a winner!

No one has a gun to the driver’s heads. If you don’t like it, go do something else. There are plenty of low experience jobs that can provide a steady check, above what you take home from Uber after expenses.

Takes money to make money. Some of Ford’s precious influencers would rather make 500k/yr than drive the car in public as Ford intended. Follow the money....is anyone surprised?

Don’t forget about cash for clunkers. That caused a direct increase in used car prices.

Man, that is sharp. Never been a Corvette guy either.

“I have poor impulse control, and no children, which is a dangerous combination for people who love cars.”

So AlphaTauri is 2 years old, has anyone ever heard of this clothing line outside of this article??

I think it would be more exciting to have budget caps and much more leeway with the specs. I want to see a few different engine configurations and vastly different aero solutions. That way, the teams have design freedom to try crazy stuff, but the big teams can’t simply out-spend everyone to the podium.

Why compromise with 1 car when there’s budget for 2? First the family hauler. Comfortable with plenty of space.
