F1 last raced in Watkins Glen in the 1980s, and circuit safety and entertainment standards have drastically evolved since then. There were even complaints in the final years WGI hosted the race that the circuit facilities and town accommodations weren't up to par

Thank you! Timing chain.

These are powered by a K-series and have no timing belt. Those motors are chain-driven. The only belt-driven motor Honda made after the early 00s is the J-series V6.

I guess NP with today’s prices - BUT - I protest, clean the damn car. Disgusting. Did he just move a load of sheetrock? Bags of cement? When was the last timing belt?

Those pressure’s aren’t really all that crazy. I mean, if the highest pressures you’re familiar with is the 120psi cycling tire, sure, 10k sounds like a ton. I regularly work with pressurized fluids and gases at about 5x higher than that range, in substantially higher volumes, for primarily combustibles. In some cases

Chicken tax call it a truck, I’mma call it a truck.

Given how EVs use rare earth elements for the motors and the battery packs and how the saber-rattling racist Chinese have us over a barrel with their supplies of such elements, anything that can happen to keep us from being beholden to those lying racists gets my attention. Go hydrogen? Works for me.

Back in the old days cars for third world countries often had low compression because of shitty fuel, don't know if that is going on here, I thought it was more of a thing in the 50s and 60s.  Yeah, the hp numbered seemed low to me too, maybe a cam that focuses on torque more than HP, or cheap carb or both.

For anyone except a wealthy VW collector (if there is such a thing)“

Michigan Highway Patrol officers stumbled onto a local rust mine. Local news outlets and the department reports that a two-month-long investigation led authorities to a home where $2.30 worth of rusted Jeeps (35 in total) were stored.

If, like the Porsche Cayenne and Macan, it allows Lotus to make five-hundrety-million variants of the same sports car...sure, I’ll allow it :)

Pretty sure it’s a Lambo, dude.

Bizarro world Dave Tracy?

Thanks, I hate it.

That was my first thought too, but I imagine the production version will have some screen in the wheel well to keep that to a minimum.

“Complicate, then add bloatedness”

Lmao at all the people not getting the joke about this thing being awful. The original premise of the 2001 Eleanor was pretty cool. Chip Foose made a lot of sweet Resto-mods, and the OG from the movie rocked. Maybe it’s hasn’t aged well to some of us, and that’s fine. However...

I think you might prefer this,

It appears that the tied for last place vibe is being lost on people. It is pretty clear from the writing that Steve DaSilva is not a fan and wishes they simply didn’t exist.
