If you get the real thing, it lasts FOREVER. I have a couple that are from the mid- to late 80s, and they're in incredible shape - the leather only gets softer as it ages (except the really heavy epi, which most people don't recognize as LV anyway, so it's kind of win-win).

On my street alone I can count 4 Mustang generations (I'm in The Hague). Only one of them is garage-kept. The same family who has the beautifully-restored 1966 in their garage also owns a 1979 monstrosity of a tiny-engined Mustang as a daily drive, but I'm reluctant to count it.

An old friend of mine is a Zach Galifinakis (sp?) impersonator in Vegas who also does weddings, and is basically taken up for the entire day. I am SO waiting to see pictures that come out of this!

Meh. I wouldn't turn down young Brando, but 70s era Brando had the crazy without the swoon-worthiness. (just my opinion, ymmv, etc.)

I taught myself from the Stitch n Bitch book (Amazon has it for about $12) - once it clicked, it was all just a matter of practice. By the time I finished my first (ugly) scarf, it was automatic*

I don't have that problem, but mine are dark purple and not shiny. They're also only a few months old, so now I'm wondering how they'll age. Hm.

Yep. Except it was a "ridiculously expensive" fake Hermes bag, "purchased" at a "price" that's about twice what a real one goes for.

It's TOTALLY justifiable from Belgium! I'm kind of pondering a day trip (from Den Haag) for shopping and stamp-buying myself. Hm.

I keep thinking he's Dave Chappelle in the thumbnails.

I have a launch One X (European) in white and it still looks brand new, without a case and with careless handling, after several months. Part of the reason I went for it (besides the pretty, pretty screen) was that it just seemed much more durable than the iphone 4s, and I didn't have much faith in what the 5 would be.

I only still have a GameCube because right after I bought my Wii, they did an update that made freeloader not work anymore...and I have a US version of Animal Crossing that I had in my carryon when I moved here, and will not let it go.

When I was 17, my parents got into an argument over whether I was conceived in the backseat of my father's Ford Falcon or the front seat of my grandfather's Delta 88. Not horrifying now, but as a teenager who had just discovered the joys of fooling around in my own car, it put some really traumatic pictures in my

I followed the link within the link and found this line:

I'll agree with you. I'm American and living in The Netherlands, and even after 7 years living in the country, taking 2 years of language courses and the tests required to live here and actually obtaining Dutch citizenship on the basis of those tests (with the goal to never have to deal with the Dutch immigration

I worked at an art supply store and it was the same - we would have a couple of things with not too much discount, but for some reason people were INSANE buying art supplies.

My sister and I had a traditional CVS/Walgreen's trip on Thanksgiving evening, just to get away from all of the family togetherness. It was fun, and never crowded, since everyone would be at the movies or somewhere like that.

I haven't made a copycat snack cake recipe, but I have made "ihop" buttermilk pancakes and "KFC" coleslaw from copycat recipes, and they turned out perfectly (and the coleslaw even better). I'm saving a couple of these for the next time I get bored and ambitious.

I just ordered 2 boxes from the import shop (at WAY inflated prices) because they'll probably be gone by the time I go visit my family in the US in March :(

Is Chelsea in McQueen, or do I just automatically think "ooh! Awesome pattern! Must be McQueen."

I saw him at the mall a couple of times (back when I lived in VA) and about fainted. Instead, I fangirled quietly from a couple of stores away. He's even hotter in person.
