The filling used to be a lot fluffier. I had one a couple of months ago, and it was like some weird half-frosting goo.

I had a similar experience with my ex husband's son and the son's mother. It's a looooong story, but I have a LOT of sympathy for fathers who would be the best custodial parent for their children, but who are basically dumped by the wayside for minimal visitation and maximum expenses (for one example, she wanted a new

When I got my dual citizenship, the consulate contacts basically said "don't tell us about it unless you plan to give up your US citizenship. The less we know, the better."

The biggest thing that people tend to forget is that, while you're paying for twice as many, in most of the relationships I know the big expenses such as rent/mortgage, utilities, etc. are halved (or less than half, depending on the income breakdown).

I totally agree AND she's one of the few I can think of who hasn't had obvious "work" done, which makes her even more sexy.

Oh, YES. Thank you!! I work in translation (project manager, occasional Dutch to English translator) and GT is ONLY good if you want to get a vague meaning and not specifics.

I'm thoroughly convinced it was written just to see where the boundaries of how much maudlin crap people are willing to buy into are. Like the result of a drunken evening trying to see just how far they could push it before people snap and realize they're being fucked with.

I'm a dual citizen (US and NL now) and have been in NL for 6 years-ish. The Zwarte Pieten make me CRINGE. The excuses of "but it's TRADITION!" make me really cringe (um. I'm from Richmond, VA. Tradition isn't an excuse). And even coming from a place generally associated with racism (the American South in general) I

I think she was even working on her second Masters? Or at least courses after already having the degree?

My cousin has had the picture of her stillborn daughter as her facebook profile photo for over a year now. It's disturbing - for a while, it was sweet and we all understood they were in mourning and it was ok. Now it's just...too much? Especially with updates about her 31 parties next to it.

I guess I'll go for laser surgery and lots of thankfulness, then. Holy crap!

"Treatment for an eye infection ranges from a week in glasses and special eye drops to full on surgery."

I remember reading about it a couple of weeks ago (here?) - she was going on Ellen to give everyone the first look at the cover, not the release, to try to drum up more interest in it.

It's my go-to for basics! Their leggings last longer than the ones I've bought from H&M or even de Bijenkorf (local high-end department store, for the non-Dutchies). I also have tons of their stretchy skirts (2 for 12!) and t-shirts and tanks and tights and everything else.

Hema's basics are brilliant (I'm wearing a pair of their leggings and a stretchy skirt right now), but I wouldn't call them a fashion chain...they're more of a "misc. goods" place, with everything from (really amazingly tasty) hot dogs to dishware to paper goods and bicycle accessories, all under their own name.

I'm 38 and still read the Abhorsen series regularly! It's one of those series that sucks you in.

The ONLY Christmas CDs I own are called something like "A Rat Pack Christmas" and the Dean Martin/Jackie Gleason Christmas album. That's it. Anything else must die.

My parents met in July 1972, were engaged 2 weeks later, I was conceived in November, they married in March 1973 (I was born in August) and they've been married almost 39 years now.

I love those things! I can't get them here, so I pick up a LOT whenever I go visit family...I think I have 6 or 7 patterns at the moment.

I can get behind this idea. Less guilt!
