Yeah, neither Jon nor Dany seemed at all phased by the “ew, I’ve been fucking my aunt/nephew” element of the reveal. It’s fun for us to joke about, but within the world of the show it’s not that big a deal.

I’m with you on this one. Tyrion, Sansa and Sam may be the three smartest people on the show, Jon is the resident Night King expert, and two of the four of them grew up in Winterfell. And none of them expressed the slightest hesitation about sending the women and children to the crypts for safety. So either they all

If it helps, I didn’t see it as a sentimental choice so much as a pragmatic one. Gendry was Arya’s crush, sure, but he’s also been her friend. She knows he won’t hurt her or treat her badly afterwards, which isn’t something she could be sure of with 99.9% of the dudes in the castle that night.

All the women, at least, Buttigieg, Sanders, O’Rourke, etc. aren’t hurting for attention elsewhere.

Same. She seems to me like the smartest and most focused person in the race, and I love the way her proposals mix compassion for minority groups with realism about what the US government can actually do. I’m willing to listen to everyone and there are good things about many of the candidates, but Warren is the only

The way the quote is edited here is misleading. She actually said it was 18 hours a week minimum in the law office, plus nights and weekends studying. So ... basically the same time commitment as law school.

I read a column by a guy who did it, and that’s pretty much how it worked. He asked around until he found someone who knew someone who knew someone willing to take him on. If you’re going to get mad at the universe because it’s a lot easier to get opportunities if you know someone who knows someone, you’re going to

That is a very pretty floof. But I wouldn’t trust her to help with the puzzle.

Fair point. I wasn’t thinking about her failing the bar so much as realizing she had too many other commitments and something had to go. Kind of like how it’s pretty common for teen actors to start college but drop out due to work.

Absolutely agreed. My state has a similar system and I have to admit, I looked into it myself after reading about what Kim was doing. (I was curious about law school in undergrad, but the money just wasn’t there. This would definitely be a better option for someone like me.)

I don’t think Kim was denying that she has a lot of assistance that makes it possible for her to go to become a lawyer. What she was saying was, she still has to do the work. She has to put in the internship hours, she has to pass the interim tests, and she’ll have to take the bar exam. Some people seemed to think she

Sorry, but no. Every story has an opinion at its base. Common morals like “family is important” or “hard work pays off” are still a bias. When you think there isn’t a slant, what you mean is that you happen to agree with the slant.

Every story already HAS a political/emotional slant. I’m sorry if noticing this offends you.

And c)an actual 5th grader had both the lack of supervision and the inclination to be sending nudes into the world to begin with. We should have known something was very wrong in her home life even before the crazy meth-head dad made an appearance.

That story makes me so angry in hindsight. A literal child was being slutshamed online, scumbag sites like Encyclopedia Dramatica stalked her for years, and all anybody wanted to talk about what the fact her dad had a hick accent. It’s everything bad about the internet except actual Nazis.

It’s not character assassination to admit there are already other issues with Biden. First of all, he’s lost two previous attempts at getting the nomination. He wasn’t able to win people over in 1988 or 2008, and I don’t think he’s going to be better at making his case now than he was then. His association with Obama

Doesn’t the fact we’re having this discussion show that it’s close? Personally, I’ve known who Michelle Williams is for at least 20 years, and I wasn’t totally sure who Sam Rockwell was until he hosted SNL a few years ago. He gets 4.3 million google hits. Michelle’s harder because she has SUCH a common name, but

Yeah, what even was that from Lindsay? Mrs. Cutler is awful, but you don’t bail on your best friend the day before her wedding.

I have no idea if you still even check this account, but I found this looking for something else and wanted to thank you — my daughter will be headed for her third session at Burgundy this summer, and she loves it. I’d completely forgotten where I first heard the name.

But Oscar-winner doesn’t technically mean acting — it could be someone like Matt Damon (48) or Jordan Peele (40), who both won for screenwriting. Peele only has one kid, though, which could rule him out.
