I haven’t played the new one, but Talion was uncomfortable with it in the first game - he thought it was more unseemly and vile than just killing them, but ultimately had more important things to focus on. Celebrimbor was more ‘what? they’re orcs, don’t be a BABY Talion’

No, you don’t have to start a new character. You learn Staggering in game from defeating a Stagger NPC that wanders around in random spots in the world named Jinn Mesca. I’ve heard he only shows up if you’re level 20, but that you can beat him by jumping in and helping if you see another player fighting him.

I found the first two in short order. Then found three more after getting lost for a long time. The sixth one, I could literally see where he was but I could not reach him. Took me foreverrrrrr to find out how to reach him.

I’ve had to work, but I’ve got 12 hours in it since PC release, and just, I’ve really enjoyed it. I’m a major wuxia/kung fu nerd, so just watching the glorious animations and attack strings is so pleasurable - the animations look *good* even if you’re making janky combos.

Square-Enix often has very weird ideas about what makes a successful game or not. And in general I’m a pessimist about these sorts of things lately. I didn’t know about the leak, but I sort of thought we’d at least have heard like, development tidbits, or something about the game if there was going to be one by now.

I’d kill for news about a new game in the Tomb Raider/’Rise of’ line... I never cared for the original Tomb Raider games, they felt like super janky platformers with even more dubious combat, but the rebooted two titles are some of my favorite modern era games.
