I could see where he would be coming from if this was betting, or again, in some hypothetical scenario where like, LGD hosts a tournament and invites trash teams and spikes the prize pool to lure in investors and advertisers, that LGD’s team then wins and collects.

But... they’re not betting on anything? There’s no way taking a dive would help them at all? I explained the Pete Rose situation to point out how it is actually different.

How does it cast doubt on your performance? Like, even entertaining this notion that somehow a player spending $300 to kick in a miniscule amount to the top of the prize pool is NOT basically the most ludicrously backwards scheme of all time, what is the doubt it casts on their performance? They might... try harder?

‘Broadcasting rights?’ ‘Advertisements?’ You’ve never actually watched The International, have you? Maybe try to learn SOMETHING about it before calling bullshit.

...No, it really doesn’t ‘straddle the line’ of that. Like, how on earth do you figure? “Hey, I can spend $10 on this compendium, and if I make it all the way and win this tournament, I’ll be able to make back $1.25.” What a genius strategy.

That’s the problem. Ordinary people have jobs, hobbies, soccer games, dinners, etc. Other things going on in their lives. The people who are pushing this are paid to push it. It is their job. They can go to work every day and think about how to win this fight. We can’t.

I think people who go really hard on Tidus for the VA are doing a real disservice. The back half of FFX is probably the best-written romance and some of the best character development in any of the Final Fantasy games. And I actually really loved the reveal around Yuna’s pilgrimage being a mission to sacrifice herself

No way, sprites are gorgeous and the last thing FF6 needs is to have hamfisted, flipperwearing 3d models in blocky towns and dungeons like FFIV.

I think it adhered pretty nicely to the spirit of a lot of Castlevania. More humor, sure, but there’s a lot of weirdly loyal things.

I already saw someone on the i09 review stating that you should watch the Japanese dub because ‘Japanese as a language flows better and is more expressive.’ pretty sure that’s the weabest take on this show.

The arrow hits, the sword slashes, like every single sound effect is just horribly mangled. I do like the cut scenes, but actually playing the game is just so much worse. I would not want it to be someone’s first impression of the game.

Even with the patch, Lion Wars still has really messed up sound effects and some of the spell graphics.

I get your point, I absolutely do, and I’m not here to defend the author from criticisms of that post up there but I do sort of wish it’d been done without ‘Asians suffer from literally nothing’.

As a, uh, non-biracial woman, I reallly want to hear someone explain to me my supposed jealousy here.

Ratting isn’t the same as being strictly no kills.

The ‘doesn’t live in the district’ thing is a BS thing, he lives about 2 miles from the district currently (because his fiance is in med school and they live currently right by Emory), and has lived there in the past.

Not going to defend these officers at all, and I’m not familiar with Seattle, but in general ‘hazard information’ probably refers to things like location priors, BOLOs, etc. that are comments tagged to an address, usually put in the dispatch system by an officer who responded before. “The storeowner keeps a rifle

guilty gear and starcraft are pretty niche relative to dota, even SF and Smash, and I say that as a FG player. Dota was the most played game on Earth for a good few years. So... possibly has to do with your circles?

I disagree, only add a new hero if you have a really solid idea for a hero that plays radically different. Important part of Dota’s roster is how complex the functions and interactions of heroes are. Compared to like LoL where a lot of ADCs play similarly, or are designed for their specific roles and are inflexible.

Why would Dota 2 not still be a thing? Dota’s ancient, in gaming terms
