Eh, it would be nice if it was more welcoming, but at the same time, it developed as a Warcraft 3 map with no tutorial, no support, just something people shoved into their faces, and doing that became one of the most played games in the world.

Eh, but the promise at upper end of that learning curve is glorious. I’ve played DotA for 8 years and I have never played the same game twice. I still learn new things, and I still improve. No other game has ever come close to giving me the replayability, the drive to sharpen my play, the depth that Dota has. For one

Grossly overused, egh.

It’s going to be depressing when the next Borderlands product is from Gearbox and goes back to shit writing and flat characters. :( Bordertales was fantastic, one of my favorite games of the year, in a year that had some pretty great games.

I don’t understand how you have a thousand person brawl. Like, after a certain degree of separation, somewhere around 100, aren’t the 101st and 102nd person just two people watching these people fight and not really clear on what is going on? Certainly around 700, you have to have no idea what is going on, and you’re

Now playing

Still only the second best Tusk anime video

Sorry, what’s your genre of choice?

Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. WC3 was great, but Frozen Throne just improved on the game in just about every way, and 12 years after it’s release, is still being played competitively (just last week in fact, had a major tournament at WCA).

I mean, considering everyone at Gawker works for Nick Denton, you think they’d be more sympathetic.

To the same idea, my friends and I used to joke that if any of us ever got famous, somehow Lucy Liu’d be playing us.

Eh, I hate the 3D remake of FF4. Sure, it’s 3D, but it looks bad overall to me. FF4a was a more like what I wanted from a remake.

GBA version with the SNES sound patch is 100% the best way to play FF6 imo unless you’re especially attached to the Woolsey translation. GBA fixes a lot of weird bugs like Evasion stat not doing anything in the SNES version.

i think you’re just racist against tummies

I wouldn’t. Write it about an American pop act - groups may not be in vogue but there’s no shortage. Jezzies have a shitty habit of embracing bad articles about East Asian women, and I don’t really want another one, thanks.

There’s actually a patched rom that replaces the GBA’s music with the SNES version, which is hands down the best possible way to play FF6 in the year 2015.

Really the best version of all possible versions is to play an emulated GBA version of FF6 Advanced, with the music/sound patch that patches in the music and sound from the SNES version. (GBA version had downgraded sound because of the GBA’s hardware limitations).

Those are... real professional products? Those trading cards?

Jerkoff pot-stirring post, move along.

man, are Ben Stone hipsters a thing now

Maybe it’s just not our fetish
