Here’s how good that photo scene is: I’ve read the book, so I knew Mr. Goodsir (one of my favorite characters) wasn’t about to die, but there was so much tension, I was afraid for him anyway - the show creates a menace that’s more powerful than the narrative.

I’d love a good Hyperion adaptation, but I’m not sure that would even be possible, let alone profitable.

No spoilers, but I hope the show stays close to the book regarding Hickey’s character. Adam Nagaitis is perfectly cast and I can’t wait to see how the rest of his story plays out.

They really did. That Thing You Do was never going to be a candidate for Best Picture, but it’s a really enjoyable film, especially if you have a fondness for 60s pop. Also it features Rita Wilson in a dress that I was NOT prepared for at the age of ten.
