He maybe did.

What a reasonable response. You seem super cool.

I got to that line and quickly checked to see whether I was reading The AV Club or The Root.

Easily Bamboozled Man!

I’ve said “ZAH!” in better towns than this...

Hey wait a minute, she’s dead! She died!

...Hello, NEWMAN.

Do I have to?

I didn’t love “Chrome Dome” either. Or Finn yelling about the “big-ass gun.” Man, he really didn’t get the best storyline or dialogue in this one. And Canto Bight felt too prequel-y, especially that terrible goddamn gag with the alien opera singer. But it was all worth it for the Luke/Rey/Kylo stuff, which I loved.

Agreed. I’m hesitant to criticize TLJ too harshly, because I love its themes and a lot of the bold decisions Johnson made (and I want to distance myself from the ugly backlash it’s gotten). But you’re right that the prank call felt super out of place, despite being perfectly acted by Oscar Isaac and Domhnall Gleeson.

I have never heard this opinion before, and I’ve never seen unflavored jelly beans before. I’m intrigued.

Nah, I like all the classic jelly bean flavors to some extent. Just not as much as I like black licorice.

This seems like a great casting decision. I never saw The Golden Compass because I loved the books and didn’t want to watch an adaptation that didn’t do them justice, but Dafne Keen seems better suited for the part than Dakota Blue Richards was. Lyra is supposed to be wild, independent, almost feral, and if there’s

Get Out is up for Best Original Screenplay, Logan is up for Best Adapted Screenplay. I’m with you on hoping Peele wins it.

I didn’t know they did special requests like that. I’m gonna try it next time, thanks!

Really good ep.

My love of Cane’s chicken and sauce is more than enough to make up for the fries. But MAN, I wish they’d make their fries better. Even just frying them a little bit longer would make a huge difference.

Is this an episode of I Love The Scotts?

I played Captain Hook in a theater-in-the-round middle school production of Peter Pan, which was pretty fun. On opening night, I had Tiger Lily tied to a chair in the middle of the stage, when Peter showed up to rescue her. He was on a scaffold that the tech crew had to roll to a specific point, then he would jump off

Me too! I get why so many folks around here dislike it, but it’s nice to find someone else who likes that whole movie without having to qualify it.
