Thank you so much for answering these questions! (Mine was the last one before that twitter exchange.) I’m especially glad you mentioned earlier that fabric softener is not good for gym clothes, because I swear that is 3/4 of my laundry these days and the last thing I need is for that smell to get locked in. I am…
Laundry School, I need you. Fabric softener 101 please. I’ve only ever used dryer sheets in the past, but I don’t even use those any more just out of sheer laziness. I’m worried I’m missing out on something basic and/or amazing. Should I be using it during the wash cycle instead? I have a front-load washer with the…
My husband had shoulder surgery at the beginning of June last year and so was in his sling for 8 weeks - he bought some spray deodorant/antipersperant and would use that on the sling every couple days or so in between washings. I mean, needed the spray stuff for himself, too, because he couldn’t move his arm enough to…
I will never, ever get sick of that first video. Laugh at it EVERY time.
Toiletries and generic OTC meds are the best deal for me at BJ’s. Two 16-oz bottles with a bonus 3-oz travel size bottle of contact lens solution for $17 is cheaper and more convenient than the 12-oz bottles you can get elsewhere. I buy the BJ’s brand shampoo and conditioners that are still great quality. A full…
So happy it’s “summer” again.. that means regular trips up to my in-laws’ Maine cottage, which means regular stops at the Maine Beer Co. brewery in Freeport. And it’s *extremely* convenient off the highway. Case of Lunch on the way up to enjoy over the weekend and then bring the remainder home. Ahhhh.
I could be totally wrong about the liquid sugar at Dunkins. Not sure where I picked that up from. I’ve never put sweetener or sugar in my coffee so I never paid that much attention!
Most places proportion that to the size of the cup, but it’s considered “one.”
Timmy’s and Dunkin Donuts will put the sugar/sugar substitute/cream/milk in your coffee for you as they’re pouring it (the sugar is in liquid form, I believe, so it mixes instantly). So you would go in and ask for a medium coffee with milk and 3 splendas. As opposed to a real coffee shop that might just ask if you…
I mean, I COULD lift her, but maybe a little bit of walking exercise wouldn’t hurt her, eh? Get moving, hon. And two, and three, and four, and..
Jolie, will this apply to my Birkenstock sandals, too? The footbeds have gotten really pretty nasty.. like, whenever it rains they just get REALLY slippery and honestly kind of dangerous to walk in. They don't smell (umm, I don't think?) but the black grossness.. yeah.
LOL. Quality reporting there.
Hubs and I did that last summer: left home in MA in the morning; beer tasting and the tour at Ommegang around 11; lunch at their delicious restaurant; afternoon at the HOF. A very nice day.
So my oven was brand new when we moved into the house 10 years ago, and I think I have run the self-cleaning cycle once in that time (maybe about 2 years in) and never again since it smelled up the whole house for approximately a week. It's getting pretty gross. Well, we now have cleaners that come every other week,…
I always thought the difference between a Reuben and a Rachel was the sauerkraut vs. the cole slaw. And that you could put corned beef or pastrami on either one.
The last two kegs we had on tap were Allagash Tripel and Dogfish 90.. I'm not really afraid of drinking a lot of bold beer :)
I'm fairly intimately familiar with 28 of these breweries, but I only voted in the East because those are the ones I know best; the others are just scattered around. First round was easy; second round is going to get dicier. In any case I approve of you cutting through the crap and just crowning a beer (and a good…
I loooove the Allagash Tripel. Hubby and I had it in a keg (well, a sixtel) a few months back and I have been hoping I could convince him to get it again now that we have an empty tap. I think we're ending up with a log of Dogfish Burton Baton instead but hopefully next time.
Hey Will. Stoutfest at Armsby Abbey in Worcester April 11-12. They are planning on having some really unusual, hard to get stuff. You ought to try to make it out. (Also the Abbey has become pretty much the exclusive bar for Hill Farmstead kegs in Massachusetts - they pretty much always have at least one on now. In…
